Has anyone taken advantage of the great discounts currently being offered to Active Military personnel? We plan on taking advantage of this in a few weeks and wanted to hear anyone's experiences. Was it easy to get the tix? Were there any surprises? Did they require anything other than a current DOD ID?

Thanks for any info you can supply!

Pray they continue this past this summer! Preferably September thru Xmas! (I know, I know, HIGHLY doubtful!)

My brother who just got back from active duty in Kuwait is at Disneyland (only time they could go) this week. He comes home on Saturday and I'll ask him about it and post his experience for you then.

I buy all my tickets at a military base. They figure you needed proper id to get the tickets on base in the first place. :D The tickets are used just the same as anybody's. We are buying 5-day park hoppers that expire 6/30. They don't have to be used on consequative days. A new program or price will occur 6/30-approx 9/8. Enjoy

Hey Mom,

Just hoping you were aware of the deal they are offering right now (until 4/30) where active military get in Free and friends and family are half off any admission media except annual passes. Talk about an amazing deal!

ParkFreak,

My brother is Utah National Gaurd and had papers for his deploymnet to Kuwait last August. The end date on this paper was sometime in February (even though they were able to come home in November) and they went last week. He had no problems getting the tickets. All he did was show is papers and his ID to prove he was who the papers were for and he received the tickets no questions asked. So you should have no problem with an active ID, good luck.
