Hi!

I was quoted $432.58 from National using the 20% discount from the Disney Club. Is that a good price for the week? Can anyone give me some ideas for getting a lower price? We will have 4 adults and 3 kids in October. We are staying at the Marriott Grande Vista.

Any hidden codes/coupons around. We are AAA members, Disney Club and soon to be Disney AP holders.

Thanks!

Have a Magical Day! :D

Check the Mousesavers site for discounts --- your best bets will be Dollar or L&M.

We rented a minivan from Dollar for late Sept-early Oct for $210 (with taxes comes to $260).

Try the codes for Dollar on Mousesavers : http://www.mousesavers.com/groundtrans.html

Karen,

What are your exact dates and times? That may help me to see what I can find for you. I agree that Dollar and L&M seem to generally have the best minivan prices but sometimes something else will pop up unexpectedly.

I used the code FVG from Mousesavers on Dollar and got a rate of $219.99 ($274.74 total with taxes) for a minivan for October 12th - 19th.

Thanks!

Is this pretty good? I hope so!

Karen,

I would go ahead and keep the Dollar rental at the price you got. It is a pretty good price and it is better to have it locked in. Then, as your trip dates get closer, check back daily to see if the price goes lower. I did this and managed to get a much better quote in the last two weeks or so before our departure.

Karen,

I just booked with Dollar using code "MCC" from Mousesavers. My rate is $266 with tax and fees, the base rate is $209. My dates are July 3 - July 10.
This rate is for a Mini van
Good Luck

I have tried using mousesavers discount codes with dollar but am a bit unsure about the total price. I was quoted 209.99 per week for a minivan plus taxes. I don't think this includes any insurance though so I'm a bit worried about the insurance costs. Any advice please?

Hi Helen,

Your total at Dollar probably does not include insurance. If you want to add insurance and find out what your total would be, just call them at the 800# (1-800-423-4704). Most auto insurance companies cover a rental, so check with your insurance at home to see if they cover you on a rental in Florida. We have Liberty Mutual and they cover us on our rental car the same as on our car at home, unless we travel out of the USA, then we add insurance with the rental company.

Karen - you got yourself a deal! I just tried the same place and code - I was quoted $599 for 9 days! I even tried an intermediate - and it was $326. At this point, it looks like I'm going to end up with Budget again - even though they refused to accept my Entertainment coupon and wouldn't upgrade me in February. They only had one car left - and it was a standard. He didn't tell me that at the counter - I had to find out when I got in the car! Thankfully, I know how to drive a standard.

We're going in Jan. and got a rate of $199 before taxes at National. Try them without a coupon code and see what happens. Since we're going in Jan. the cpns. aren't out yet and we still got this rate.
