Pre Trip Report- Swanky Suite Swillers

To set the stage,
The Cast
Jeff (Dh) Mary (Me) Avery 4 yrs, Cayley 20mo. We are also travelling with extended family-better get their ok before I talk about them :)

Four score and seven years ago...ok not really but awhile ago, my wonderful MIL-and she really is-not saying so just casue she may be reading this ;) started talking about wanting to do a Disney Cruise when they came out to Ca. Sounded great to me but when would that happen???

Fast Forward to Jan 2007 and is that angels I hear:angel: a cruise has been booked. We will be travelling on the Magic May 25th-June 1st 2008 on the Mexican Riveria Cruise.

The next year passes, older DD turns 3, little one turns 1, Dh gets a new cool job, holidays etc etc. When is that 75 day mark going to come???? Finally Feb 2008 rolls around and my SIL and I tag team to get on the DCL website. She wins out and is able to book all our excursions :cheer2: except for Palo :sad1:

We will be heading to the beach x2 and my Dh will learn to cook with the locals, and he and my older DD will go see cliff divers while I get a peticure. No that is not my child screaming MAMA from Flounders. :love:

After securing the ressies I happened upon the DIs Boards-actually my computer geek-savy husband sent me a link. There I met a great group of people (Swanky Suite Swillers not to mention those fishy people) and I am looking SO forward to meeting them all in just 18 days!!

And then TODAY, TODAY was the day I have been waiting for, they came!!!!

Cute start. Get on the ship early and try to book right away. They usually hold spots but they go fast.

Our name just kind of happened. Someone in our meet-who will remain announomus-(YOU know who you are), is in a "very nice" accomodation. One of the regulars on the thread deemed it "the swanky suite". Since we wanted to check it out and drink wine thus the "swillers" part came to be.

Avery is 10 weeks older than Alia, and Elijah is 12 weeks older than Cayley. Needless to say they get along great and create quite a racket!:love:

So, here we are less than 24 hours until boarding!! We have all the bags packed and are flying out in the am. I am praying :worship: that the "airline" fairies are watching out for us and all goes smoothly!
My MIL purchaed DIsney Crocs for the girls today :love: . Pink of course. My 4 year old is on a " dress wearing in only pink phase" I swore I would never be one of those parents who catered to their child's clothing prefrences. Thanks goodness Target has a lot of cute $10 dresses.
We are crossing our fingers to make the Dis Meet at 215p. Then on to the rest of our vacation! The girls have been "not so fun and cute" today that we are ready to get outta town and to the Magic of DIsney!!
Prepare for tons of pics and commentary upon my return!!

I just found your trip report and will be following along closely. We are cruising 2 weeks after you with our 22 month old so I'm always interested in everyone's travels with little ones.

I hope your travel day goes great tomorrow and that the weather warms up here in California for all you guys.
