Hi all. To book my trip (resort, dining, tix package), is the deposit due up front? I know to book online its 200, refundable up to 45 days. I could've sworn I read that booking some other way, was better (could wait to pay when you arrived, not having to pay 45 days prior). I can't seem to recall the details. Anyone able to help? :)

Wow, I haven't heard of being able to do that. Even over the phone they take your deposit.
I would be interested to know if there is a way around that.

Perhaps the deposit (200) is due, but you could wait to pay in full till you arrived. :confused3 I know I read this somewhere, but now my head is jumbled with Disney planning and I can't recall the details!! :lmao:

I booked through AAA...
There is 0$ due the first TWO weeks (Provided it is more than 45 days out) as a curtosy hold. Then on day 14, 200$ is needed to hold the reservation, and full payment is due 45 days out (Airfair is always seperate). I think that getting it paid for 45 days out is great.. Get to save up the spending money after that, going to disney broke is not very much fun.
Hope that helps you,
Larry

A little bit different from AAA is how you do directly thru Disney on their website vs. on the toll-free #:
Online, your $200 deposit is due right away in order actually book the trip. Then you have until 45 days prior to check in to pay off the balance. You can pay however you want, by mailing a check or posting a new cc payment as often as you want up until that 45 day mark.
By phone, your $200 deposit is due within 14 days - and you can mail in the deposit by check if you want to avoid paying by cc. Then, like above, you can pay however you want, check or charge, and as often as you want up until that 45 day mark. IF your $200 deposit is not receivded by that 14 day deadline - your ressie will be cancelled.
ROOM ONLY ressies are different even still - a single night's deposit is charged at booking, and then the remainder is due at check-in (but can be paid in advance).
