Just curious. We already have our ressie for December and got a great deal to join AAA, so we did...

can I call and get a AAA discount on my existing reservation?

Also how do I get the AAA parking pass?

TIA!

Yes - just call CRO and have them apply the AAA discount to your existing reservation!

I think the AAA parking pass comes directly from AAA, so you'll need to call them or stop in at your local AAA office for that.

Sorry, but I believe the parking pass is only if you get a package through AAA. But don't fret, the times we had the pass, they never had a spot available, even when we were supposedly not in block out dates.

I just booked for Oct and got a 20% discount. I was told though that only the full sites are allowed the discount now, not the preferred or premium. Of course, different CMs tell different stories, so ya neva know.

Happy Camping!

Rog, a AAA parking pass is supposed to get you a closer parking spot. It is to the AAA "diamond parking lot". Never got in yet when we had the pass. I love AAA, but this is one perk that I just laugh about. I have only heard of a couple of people say they actually got to park closer. I was always told it was "full", but never even saw where it was or have ever seen anyone with the pass on their windshield. Now, I could just being unjustly hard on this pass, but this is JMHO.

The AAA Diamond Parking pass is only available if you make your WDW ressies thru AAA. Alas...you can't get one any other way except from those people selling theirs on e-bay or Craigslist.

I bought one last year on e-bay for $20. It gives you really convenient parking at all the parks. Beware though, sometimes they do not honor the AAA Diamond parking at certain times of the year. They do not have any dates listed on them.

You need to call AAA they can take over your ressies and you get a nice discount you also get a 20% discount at select places in the park. I just did this for the end of july and aug and saved over $ 100 with basic dinning so I got to extend my trip by 2 days great deal. Thanks to the board.

I think I got one the first time we went but haven't been able to get one since. Never available. We are always there the first few weeks in December.

We have two ressies coverig 20 Oct till 1 Dec of this year and a couple of hours ago DW called and there were only 4 days during that time frame that had AAA discount available so we said forget it. That would mean splitting up our two ressies into like 5 or so and then paying the deposit on 5 vs. the two we have now.

We have never had AAA and I just wanted to find out more about it. What is the cost of membership and is it worth having for discounts besides at FW? What is the typical discount on campsites at Disney or do they vary?
Thanks!

We have a RV membership, which includes our cars too for $158 a year. I think it is worth it because we have had to have AAA come out and help us and for our coach, we have to have someone professional like to come and change a tire. Those things are almost as tall as me! (ok, i am short, so what is your point?):lmao:

We also go to Disney often enough that the discounts pay for the membership and then some. We are staying in the Fort for two weeks this summer and the membership took over $200 off the price.

Discounts can vary, but usually around 20%

We have the most basic AAA package....it cost just about $50/yr for DW & me....and we used the discount for 10 nights at the fort this month, and THAT alone paid for the membership almost twice....not to mention that we had to call them out to slim-jim my daughters jeep, and tow my van when the brake line busted.....both of those services were free of charge. AAA is way more than worth its membership fee.....then include the discounts darn near EVERYWHERE....and piece of mind when traveling on the road. I'll never allow my membership to expire.

Keep calling, frequently. June is getting close and folks will cancel freeing up the AAA discounts.

I hope that's not the case. What's a full site, water and electric only?
