Halloween at Disney 2009

After careful consideration about when the family wanted to go we decided on not going on January of 2010 for fear of ride and attraction maintnace after the first of the year. So we are going for Halloween of 09. We've never been there for Halloween. We know of a few events that is happening during Halloween. I'm just looking for any other suggestions on what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ps: Does anyone know if you can book now for 0ct of 09. I was going to check into it but don't have time today.

hi dimaline, we go every other oct. ( first two weeks of dec the other years) i personal love oct. if isnt wasnt for the christmas events that would be the only time we would go. the weather is great, the weekends (as normal) can get alittle crowded but nothing major. got to go to the hol party at the mk. you can make your adv. diner res. 180 days prior to your check in, which i would recomend you doing, please dont wait. this fill up fast. im not sure when you can make a hotel res (im in dvc) but i think its about a year. i would call to check that out. bring your costume and have a great time!! :thumbsup2

Thanks DVC: Is the Halloween part at MK a seperate ticket and if so do the prices change year by year or do they stay the same ever Oct? I definetly want to go to the party it looks real fun. I plan to make adv dinner res for it. Thanks for the help.

the party is a special ticket. if you go on disneyworld.com, calander section, than special events, it will give you the dates and cost. or just call 407-wdisney, you have to call for now to order your tickets,cant do it on line. dont wait they go fast.on the party nights, they close the mk at 7pm. they will let you in around4 for the party. they give you a wrist band. if you dont have a wrist band they nicely ask you to leave. price all depends on how many adults,kids and what night you want.dont forget to make your adv res at the 180 day from check in. have fun!!!:thumbsup2

What Characters are at the Halloween party? Is it all of them in the MK park or is it just a select few? My point is would Captain Jack Sparrow be there?

My point is would Captain Jack Sparrow be there?i seen him on the float in the parade but also, during the day,( this was in june and dec of 07) he would be outside next to pirates of the car. in the mk.(my dd who is 15 needs her picturer taken for some reason w/him.)

I can't wait I reall want to see Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Toutorial. Does anyone know what times they have those? I realize times may change in 09 but If I could get a general Idea of when to be there to catch one. Thanks for all the help everyone keep it coming. I really appreicate it.

I booked a Disney cruise, which returns on Oct 31st. I figured, since we're already theeeeeeere. . . .;) might as well go to the MK for MNSSHP.

Is MK the only park that has a Parade and a Party on Halloween or do the other parks have something going on too?
