Just thought I'd point out that one the DIS boards homepage there is the memorial slideshow for Bob Varley. I know some of you come to the direct TB link so I though I'd point it out. :sad1:

Oh, it made me cry. :sad1:
I was so shocked when I heard about his death. I listen to the podcast all the time and I will miss his voice every week. I feel like I've lost an old friend.

I will admit that I did not know who he was when I learned that he died. However, I did watch the memorial and it made me cry. He seemed like such a nice, kind hearted man. R.I.P :sad1:

When I first logged on today I was completely stunned. If you ever listened to the podcast, you'd feel like you knew Bawb. He'll be missed by everyone.

It's amazing to me that really known of us met him in real life, but we still feel as if we lost an old friend. I'm going to miss the few hours a week we "spent" with him on the show. :sad1:

And if you haven't read Pete's eulogy yet, here's the link:

I was in tears and laughing at the same time; it's incredible.

What he brought to the table, is something no one else could. He had to be one of the nicest guys around, I only wish I had the chance to meet him.

What Pete wrote was amazing. I can't imagine the grief he is going through right now.

I wish I could have met him too. :sad1:

Bawb was a great, irreplaceable member of the podcast team. The humor and wit he brought to the show is something that could only be brought by a guy like him. The podcast will never be the same without him. And even though I never met him in person, I felt like I knew him and could consider him a friend. It's amazing how many lives he touched that he didn't even know about. He was a wonderful man, and he will be truly missed.

We love ya, bawb.
