Need opinions for June vs August trip

Besides the price difference in the two time periods, can I get some opinions from those that have been the middle of June vs the middle of August?

We Already have ressies for August at the campground but can change. I don't care about the dining plan, but just wanted to know about crowds, weather and any special weeks or events that I should avoid. I know that August will be much hotter and more humid, but I think the crowds will be lower and I know the rate is cheaper. It was really crowded and hot in October, so I am a litter worried about August.:confused3

Crowds should be better. But yes, it will be really hot. Beginning of August & right at the end of August, or beginning of Sept (after Labour Day w/e) should be pretty good w/ crowds. Mid-August might be a little more crowded w/ people trying to get that last summer trip in before school starts.

We're going to FW in June and August this year. (We're desperate--we had to cancel Easter because of snow days!) August is definitely hotter--and cheaper--but the crowds are lower. We will probably see more of the parks during our June trip, because in August we will have to plan around the heat!

Hot and sticky and August is probably more so than June, but IIRC June has more of the short mid afternoon downpours which are over in like an hour or so.

Nice for those with kids in school, but I'll take Dec/Jan anytime for the weather and crowds except between about 21 Dec and 1 Jan.

I would take June over August any year. It is just too humid and sticky in Aug/Sept., and I live down here year round!

Thanks for the replies. We got AP's in October(my FAVORITE TIME:thumbsup2 ) and really enjoyed October and our trip in January. We love to go during cooler weather but are trying to get at least one more trip(maybe 2:confused3 ) before they expire the 1st week in Oct. I know that it will be hot in June and even worse in Aug. but that is the only time we can go back. I guess based on crowd level August is the best. Thanks again!:)
