:lmao: What a funny subject. I can't wait to see how many people reply. I work from home, but I am on a strict 8 hour schedule.
I keep my home computer on and get on a few times a day to see if anything new is posted. It gets boring being in the same room all day (I know it could be worse) so I need something to distract me for a few minutes that doesn't really take me away from my computer in case someone calls or IMs me.
Happy surfing!! :surfweb:

1) I have yet to miss a deadline (I am a goody-goody)

Count me in. But I've been here 33 years and I figure I am entitled to a little "play" time, plus I have three bosses--one is 82 and he does not work on Mondays and Fridays (and I have been with him ALL 33 years), and the other two are out at client meetings. So who am I possibly harming??? And one of the other attorneys who sits right in front of me is off to Disney tomorrow and I have to keep her posted on the latest info, don't I? :lmao:

I'm at work, too, but I only get on the boards at lunch and at the end of the day. Sometimes I stay after for up to an hour, depending on my kids' schedules, to surf the boards.
I don't have internet at home anymore, so it is this or the public library on Saturday.
The techies where I work can, if they wish, monitor our screens at all times. Sometimes someone across town is using my computer to install stuff, etc. Kind of odd watching the cursor do it's own little thing.
I pretty much play by the rules, so I don't think it's an issue. Now, buying my air tickets online might be called into question, as shopping is a no-no, but I just didn't want to use my credit card on a public computer.
Still, knowing that every move you make is logged, monitored, and reported does remove the mirror-over-the-shoulder option!

As the boss, I am one of the ones setting the "no internet during work" rules and then I go and break them! Discretely, of course. But I look at it this way, I don't usually take a lunch break. I bring in my lunch and work through it. So if I pop into Dis to surf for 15 mins here and there, its just stretching my lunch out during the day!
I also log in during conference calls that don't require active participation. ;)

Yep, I'm at work, too. ALT+TAB is my best friend. I can switch between open windows in a split-second at the first sound of approaching footsteps... :rolleyes1

Nothing you do on a work computer is private. You will never know when the boss installs big brother. Check out http://www.spectorsoft.com/ :scared1:

Whenever I finish a project or a task, I take a quick look! It's a personal incentive to get a lot done. Of course I don't put a limit to how long I spend on the Disboards. :lmao:

I am :surfweb: :laundy:
I surf all day every day at work. I complete a task and then I surf. I hit my main sports sites, dis and cruise sites. It's glad to know that I'm not the only one who does this. I know it's crazy but I visit and lurk at the Dis site at least 4 to 6 times a day. I work in accounting and if I don't take mental breaks every hour or so I would have a melt down like the kids at the parks. LOL!!!
