View Full Version : 7 Nights for 4 Deal
Does anyone remember the 7 nights for 4 package that Disney ran in 2003? We went in April that year and stayed at an ASMo. We came home and of course started researching for our next trip and learned about the 7 nights for 4 deal. We booked right away and stayed for a week at GF for LESS than we had just paid for a week at ASMo.
Oh, I wish they would have a deal like that again!!! :goodvibes

I remember it well. That was the first time I went to Disney. We stayed at the FW cabins and got hooked on Disney. We went in Sept and didn't really understand how empty the parks were since we were Disney virgins. We got spoiled by the little pink Tink card. That was back when they had the length of stay pass or whatever and you could just go and do as you pleased. Thanks for reminding me of my first trip to Disney. Don't even want to think about that kind of deal again, since that was in the travel slump after 9/11.

Yes, I can't remember if it was last year or the year before.

Yep....it was the Fairytale package. I originally booked POR, then changed to WL. Well, I finally settled on the Polynesian since it was such a great deal, I couldn't pass it up. August '03 was when we were there. It was on that trip that my dh decided to look into DVC...2 months later, we were owners at BWV!!
Man, that was a great deal.

It is so ironic that you mention this b/c I was just saying to my dh how I wish they had that fabulous deal again! That was the 2nd time that I brought my ds to WDW and we stayed at POFQ. We had a great time!

We tried Poly concierge that year, went during Thanksgiving.
Oh dear god that was a good deal.:scared1:
Fell in love with that Poly concierge but haven't been able to bring myself to pay for it again!!!:teacher:
I found the receipt the other day and the room was $211 per night for garden view concierge. What is rack now $500 plus? I mean we loved it but not enough for those big bucks. I am all about bang for the buck and I just don't think it is worth those prices?:confused3

Now it makes sense to me why we didn't do that. We had annual passes that expired in Aug 2003 and received a rate of $74 per night at the Coronado Springs in May and $114 for the Wilderness Lodge in Aug. We were even upgraded at the WL from a standard to the pool/garden view. I think we had one of the best rooms in the hotel. I haven't seen this type of discount since!!

That's the summer we did the BWI concierge and it was wonderful. That was a great summer vacation for us, we were in Florida for 3 weeks. I do wish they would do that again.

That was the best deal and the best trip ever for my family. We were there in mid-September (ironically, the first day of our trip was my dad's 60th birthday) and we had a fabulous time. Got to do so much for so cheap! I keep hoping they'd do it again. We were at POR and I'd jump at the chance for that deal again! :lovestruc :cloud9: :woohoo: :cheer2:

I just did a comparison. With a 149 rack rate during value season, it is 626 with a 40 percent off code and 596 for the 7 for 4 code. So the 40 percent off postcards recently came very, very close.

We had just been in early June using our DVC points when we heard about the 7 for 4 deal. We booked the GF - Sugarloaf Concierge for seven nights for our son's birthday at the end of July. Talk about crazy. You'll never see that one again. I think the next time they offered anything close to that it was 7 for 5.

We also stayed at poly(first time) with this offer. We stay LVC in room 3502 and it was awesome.
We got the offer for being new Disney Visa card holders - what a savings.

I remember it also. It was called the fairytale magic package. That was our first trip to disney and we loved it. We stayed at the allstar sports. I hope disney comes out with something similar to that next year with the way the economy is. Let's all keep our fingers crossed.

It seems that since then Disney had the free dining. In 2003 we received the best AP room specials too. This year the value resorts are at the moderate costs from back then. I guess everything goes up, but the park AP has even increased by over 25%. I guess enough of us are still buying them.
This is the first time we've had ap's and I'm hoping for good discounts this year. The 7 for 4 was a deal of a lifetime and such a magical trip for us! :goodvibes Now when I price GF or Poly, I just cant justify spending that much. :sad2: I sure wish we would have received one of those 40% off cards! Now that we live closer to WDW (we moved from Dallas to Atlanta), we've purchased ap's and we're planning several trips this year! Bring on the ap discounts!

Oh my gosh! I was just talking about that deal the other day with a neighbor of mine. We were originally planning on going for just 5 nights that summer, but when I went to book the CM told me about the 4 for 7 nights and how it was such a great offer (can you imagine a CM actually telling me about a deal:rotfl: ). So, I told my husband and we splurged on the GF. It was absolutely awesome!! The only bad thing is that my kids have wanted to go back there again -- we did the following year , but for only 2 nights. I've told the kids if Disney would only offer that again!!

Was thinking about this the other day. We were there (before I knew about the Disboards) and payed rack rate at Poly for 10 days and talked to other people who were staying on this deal:scared1: . Sure wish I found the Dis sooner, would have saved a lot of money over the years and been DVC owners. Oh well, would love to see it back though.

Nice thread - wish we had thought of going to Disney that year - it would have been a great deal to get.
However, one small request. I think the title of this thread should have been:
REMEBERING the 7 Nights for 4 Deal.
I see a thread "7 Nights for 4 Deal" and my pulse quickens thinking that there might be another amazing deal coming from Disney. Now, instead my dreams are shattered. Thanks! ;)

We had booked the Poly in September/October for I think 5 nights, but decided to extended it to seven and when they told us it would cost LESS than original plan, we upgraded to a Poly Lagoon View. I faxed a room request and got a great view of the castle. Waking up early with my 3-year-old son to watch the sun rise and the castle changing colors in the dark was so cool! My husband insists to this day it was still his favorite stay ever at Disney.

I loved the fairytale package. We stayed at Polynesian GVC. I just went to look at my billing statement from Disney - it was August 20 to 27 at the Polynesian Garden View Concierge with Ultimate Park Hopper for $2311. Those were the days - I could cry!

I certainly remember the Fairytale package. I was 6 1/2 months pregnant, thinking we couldn't go that year. When we learned of the deal, we booked a trip for the 4th of July--only a week and a half before!!! We stayed at YC concierge that year! It was one of the best trips!
I've always compared prices to that trip ever since.
The only better price was BWI (BW view) for $199 in Sept 2001 (we came home on 9/10).

YES.....that was the best package ever :dance3:. We stayed at the BC and were supposed to go over Halloween, but changed our dates and went the week before Christmas :santa:. That was our third trip to Disney but our first time at a deluxe resort :cool1: :cool1:. That trip got us hooked and we haven't stayed anything but deluxe since :goodvibes. Boy, I wish Disney would offer a package like that again ;).
OMG!! And you folks said we'd never see this kind of deal again!!
