I did not see shower houses on the map, do they not have showers for the people in tents?
Yes they do. Every comfort station has them. AND, they are the cleanest showers I've seen at any campground! :thumbsup2

You won't be more than a 3 minute walk, give or take, from any of them! Cleaner than mine at home sometimes

I think there should be a comfort station on each non cabin loop.
I think they are all alike.

Thats why it rains every afternoon in the summer, just so the tent campers have a chance to wash up ;)
seriously, Fort wilderness has the nicest bathrooms of any campground I have been to :thumbsup2

Gee, Calcasieu brings back memories of a former job running crewboats out of Cameron on the south end of the Calcasieu River. Never want to smell a pogie plant ever again.

There are many comfort stations at the Fort. Some serve a single loop, most serve two loops, and 2000 loop has 2. They have all been refurbished in the last few years and are the nicest you'll ever come across in a campground. The pictures posted in this thread are testimony to that.
With so many large, luxurious motorhomes, 5ers, Class A's, and TT's the comfort stations aren't as busy as I remember them 20 years ago. Or maybe that's just my fuzzy memory. But seriously, we stayed in the 2000 loop once with lots of tenters and pop-up owners and even with two stations there were waits. That's why even with my pop-up I get a site with hookups and the stations are less filled at peak times (morning/evenings).
So put your tent up and enjoy! :woohoo:

Well for the past 26 years, we owned and operated a family owned boat repair shop here on the beach. But in my spare time, I run to the nearest phone booth and transform into COUNCILMAN KEN!!!! Problem being, not many phone booths around anymore.
In other words, city councilman for Panama City Beach.
