Teacher Appreciation Poem

I was searching on the web and ran across this poem for teachers..

Where it lists a candy name you tape a candy bar/package to it..

Thank you, teachers!!

You are all Sweet Tarts for everything you teach our children.
You deserve 100 Grand every PayDay.
We know sometims our kids act like Air Heads and Nerds
or like they're from somewhere behond the MilkyWay. (Us parents, too!)
You birng such Almond Joy when you teach
about the Whatchamacallit and ignore their Whoppers.
It must be hard to contain your Snickers
when those little Sugar Babies tell you Mounds of stories.
Sometimes it must seem that all you do is Skor papers.
Most days you probably want to make like Baby Ruth and just run home.
Thanks teachers. You are the Riesen our kids are Smarties instead of Dum Dums.

I think I'm going to do postboards for each of my kids' classrooms. Or I might just scrapbook the poem really nice and put all the candy in a basket so the boys can pull the candy out as they read the poem!!!
I know they have lots going throughout the week with other events..

Hey! Temp them anyway... the end of the year they might need the pick me up to keep up with the kids!!!! :)

Now my mission is to find these candies this week... I've not seen Sugar Babies out in forever.. so hopefully our retro candy store Wiggles will have them... they even have those goofy candies we had as kids that were the wax bottle w/ the liquid candy in it... LOL

Skor is a chocolate candy bar w/ hard toffee in the middle.. its is my FAVORITE!!! If it wasn't summer time I'd send you one in the mail.. so when you come out here next summer.. I'll have a batch for ya!!!

Make a candy gram. Purchase a large stiff poster board. Buy candy bars you can use for your message. Attach the candy bars onto the poster board.
