Just one last remineder that w eshoudl all be working on hydration for teh race now, if we haven't already.
Temps will go from 69 at teh start to mid 80s at teh finish. Humidity will go from 84% to teh mid 70%s. Not good for us northerners for sure.
The key is to hydrate before the race day. Please keep that in mind these next few days. FOr those of you who will be in the parks before rae day, this will be extra important.
Another key is to listen to your body day of. If you start to feel light headed or nautious, at least slow down, if not stop. We are supposed to be racing for fun. Suffering from heat exhaustion or heat stroke is not the way to spend a vacation! :grouphug:
Safe travels adn safe racing everyone! :wizard: See you soon!

And don't forget electrolytes, electrolytes, electrolytes!! (Gatorade is your friend! :thumbsup2 )
Also, make sure to check to see if any of the heat warning flags are flying in the pre-race area and listen to any announcements by the race staff prior to the start....
I will also reiterate Carrie's point in the OP... this is supposed to be FUN!!! If it's hot, dial back your pace a little and enjoy your day a little more. A distance race in Florida in early May is NOT designed for a PR. :)
Best of luck to everyone running and HAVE FUN!!

Thanks for the reminder Carrie! I just thought about it and went a grabbed a bottle of water! I am a very dehydrated person. I NEVER drink anything unless it's with a meal. I Really have to work on that!
Now, tell me. How am I supposed to slow my pace if the sweepers are behind me??? :confused3

:guilty: That's a case that I hate to think about, but no race and no medal is worth your health! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:
Kevin's right about electrolytes too. Usually, I go back and forth between herbal (caffeine free, unsweetened tea) and Powerade, Option or Propel.

Thanks for the reminders. And know what you mean about a path to the restroom.
Taking the powdered single serve Powerade to add to bottled water while wandering around WDW Fri/Sat.
Was worried about having to use restrooms during the 15K but think if I stop drinking an hour or so before should be ok.

Liz -You will eb fine with that plan. You'll be sweating out more than you can take in once you get going.

Anyone have any idea if the Champion Chips cause problems going thru security? Own mine and since I'm carrying my shoes on just wondering. Figure it's actually inactive so don't think there'd be any problems.
