Well, me ;)
In 4 days I took 1127 photos broken down as follows:
1056 with the XTi
71 with the Olympus Stylus P&S
638 of the XTi shots never made it out of the camera but went right into the trash
10 of the P&S shots met a similar fate
Of the remaining 418 XTi shots, 24 were on full auto -- the rest were a mix of aperture of shutter speed priority
394 of the shots are in RAW format.
I think I will be spending the weekend on post processing.
Oh, and a nice salesman tried to sell me a used 50mm 1.2 before I left -- failing to purchase this lense was a huge mistake which I will correct before my next trip.
Posted pictures soon--I must go to sleep now :)

sounds like you had a good time.
I do have a question though, were you deleting your pics in camera or after a quick review on the computer?
I have learned not to trust the little screen on the camera that much. I mean you can tell when you have a really really crappy shot, most of the time, but I have also had some that I thought were bad looking at the camera, and they weren't throw aways for various reasons once I saw them on the computer.

Oh trust me--these had to go. Plenty of the remainder won't make the website either, but I axed the obvious ones. One of the goals of the trip was to come off "Auto" -- there is a cost to taking steps in that direction--but I think it's a trip worth taking.

Deleting before viewing on a real screen? If you can tell they are that bad by viewing them on the camera screen I think you need to work on your quality over quantity. Hehehehee
Sure I only come back with 1% that I will say WOW about. But most, that just look like average snap shots, are worth saving for the memories.

True enough. Many of the ones that made it into the trash were different attempts at getting the same shot right.

I posted this on the picture of the day thread, but as it's the only one I've worked on yet, I thought I'd add it to this thread as well.
