View Full Version : My Favorite Photos of Bob

It’s too tough for me to write in words how I feel right now, so I would like to share some of the photos I have of Bob with everyone instead. Bob is the first true friend that I’ve ever lost and I am going to miss him very much.

Bob loved sushi as much as me

04-29-2008, 05:56 PM
Oh wow Corey...words can not express how sad you must be feeling. I never met bob but have shed so many tears over the past 24 hours.

Your photo's just sum up what a lovely man he was and the one's of Bob and Brian just bring tears to my eyes.

He was a wonderful man that made everyone who listened to the podcast smile and laugh every week. He loved you all very much you could hear it in his voice.

04-29-2008, 05:56 PM
Oh Corey thank you so much for posting. These pictures are exactly how I pictured Bawb! So colorful, and humorous. I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. Even though we never met i consider all of you friends.

04-29-2008, 05:57 PM
What a wonderful collection of pictures Corey.

Thank you very much for sharing with us and many hugs and prayers to all of you and all of Bob's family too.

Great pics. Thanks Corey.

Corey -

Thanks for sharing your memories... Bob with a Dole Whip .. how perfect..

Losing someone is hard, when its unexpectedly is the hardest thing. Continue to concentrate on the love and memories you shared with Bob and in time you will get through it. He loved you both, you could hear it in his voice.

I've thought about all of you today alot but especially Julie.. I know she thought of Bob as her 2nd dad and how sad she must be..

Hugs to both of you and if you need an ear, post here or send a PM

I'm still in shock.

My condolences to you and Julie, as well as all Bob's family and friends.

11:00 PM. Sitting here viewing the pics alone in my livingroom. No tv. Totally quiet.....except for the cow off in the distance. It's a sad and lonely sound. Almost like she's missing Bawb, too. Thanks for sharing your personal pics of Bawb with us, Corey. It means a lot to those of us who never actually got to meet Bawb....and to those who did, I'm sure.

Thanks for posting the pics Corey - wonderful memories!

The Sushi one reminded me that is where I finally got to meet Bob in person the day we were at Epcot for the opening for Flower & Garden Festival last month, and I had seen his Kaht in the waiting area of Teppan Edo/Tokyo Dining when we were arriving. He had been in catching a sushi break on his way around World Showcase taking pictures. I introduced myself since we had never physically met and once he realized he "knew" me from Dreams, I got the most hearty handshake and heartfelt smile. Just a genuinely nice person! I wish we could have chatted longer, but my family was whisked off to our table, and then we didn't run into each other the rest of the day.

He will be missed at DU, and on the DIS!! (and just plain missed)

Jen (from DU)

Corey, the Studio pictures in the first posts brought great memories when we hung out with you and Bob. It was fun taking pictures of Bob with various characters and walking with y'all.

Missing Bob. Thanks for Bumping Corey!!

04-29-2010, 07:54 AM
I didn't know Bob, I just discovered the podcast last summer. I am listening to all of the old ones (I am now up to June 2007). I did listen to the tribute show as I wanted to find out who Bob was. Now that I have listened to many of the old podcasts it is very obvious to "hear" the ties that bind all of you. At my age, 62, I have lost quite a few friends and loved ones and it never gets any easier. I was surprised to find tears running down my face while looking at photos of a man I never met in person. Obviously, the pod cast is a powerful media. You & the team should be very proud of the job that you do and the legacy you are leaving behind. Because of this board, Bob not only lives in your heart, he lives in the heart of many people who never met him. Thank you, Penny:grouphug:

Thanks for these photos it is great to see them.

04-29-2010, 09:12 AM
Thanks for sharing these, Corey.

04-29-2010, 10:26 AM
Thanks for posting the pictures. I especially liked the one with Homer. The podcast where he brought in the Simpson's stuff he purchased is a favorite of mine. I really miss his props. They were the best part of the show sometimes.

04-29-2010, 12:30 PM
I came to the dis after Bob had passed away. I started catching up with the podcasts from the begining. I got to know Bob through those. Thanks for posting the pictures. I was glad to see them and sad to know I had missed knowing Bob when he was with us. Take care.

04-29-2010, 01:22 PM
It amazed me, how hurt/saddened/effected I was at the news. During the teams time off I relistened to all of the old shows again. It was fun to hear the "characters" of the show emerge over time.

Thanks for the photo memories Corey!

04-29-2010, 03:04 PM
Corey, what a wonderful tribute to Bob. It's hard to loose a friend, especially when it's sudden...I lost someone last month, so I know how it feels. The pictures you have will keep Bob with you all of your life. I'm going to WDW in 10 days, and you can bet I will have a Dole Whip for Bob.

04-30-2010, 10:23 AM
I think I started listening to the podcast maybe 6 mo before Bob passed, he was just such a wonderful personality! At the different podcast events that I've been to I've always thought of Bob, and wished I had a chance to meet him.

Thank you Corey for sharing these lovely, lovely pictures :thumbsup2!

04-30-2010, 10:37 AM
Thank you for sharing those great photo's of Bob. He is missed greatly, but remembered fondly. I too will have a dole whip or two for Bob.
