Tell me about renting cars

We are planning a June trip to DW. Originally we planned on driving but recently we have found some great airfares and are considering flying. I've looked on the internet for car rentals and the price for renting a car is actually higher than flying!

We are a family of six (kids ages 13,11,8,8). Could we get by with something other than a mini-van? We are not going to drive much but because we are booked at FW would prefer to have our own car.

Also what are some discounts available. I've looked through Disney Club and Entertainment.

If you don't want a van, you need at least a full-size car which can seat 3 at the front and 3 in the back. Some of the buick may do that.

Car rental discount--if you belong to Disney Club, they offer you 10% on daily weekly and monthly at National. Or you can apply for an Emerald card for free with DC.

We have a full-size for fourteen days for a May trip that we got through Priceline for $17/day. With all taxes and fees is just about $300 for the two week rental --- way cheaper than any site that I tried (including Dollar and Alamo). Who did you get thru Priceline? I worry about getting L & M. I haven't heard good things about them.
