booking question

If you book directly with DCL do you pick a specific cabin or do they just assign you one? Is it the same procedure whether online or by telephone? I'm very interested in the secret porthole rooms, trying to figure out the best way to book!!

As far as my experience went, I could not request a specific room. I booked the trip directly through the DCL reservation center. However, I am a first-time cruiser, so they might give repeat visitors some sort of preferential treatment with regard to specific room requests.

I think you can request and they will do what they can. Can't hurt to call and ask. If they say no, you're where you are now!

This worked for me: go to www.cruise-locator.com, Go to online booking follow the directions and you will be able to find out the cabins available on your specific sail date. This is how I was able to get secret porthole cabin 5020:D for our sail date in May 2003. Good luck and Happy Sailing 393 days
