We were in DLRP in February and while planning our trip I found out about the the "carte Déjeuners Découverte" which gives 20% off at several restaurants in Disney Village (Café Mickey, Rainforest Café, The Steakhouse, King Ludwig's Castle, Annette's Diner, Planet Hollywood and Club House Grill at Golf Disneyland).
You can ask for the card at the participating restaurants. We asked for it at Rainforest Café before being seated. One condition is that you order between 12.00 noon and 6 PM. Offer is until 1 September 2008.
For some reason it only seems to be advertised on the French portion of the Disney Village website. It pays to know your languages :)

Thanks for this. We are going in a couple of weeks and may well have lunch at the Rainforest Cafe on arrival. I think I will write down the name of the card as my French is not that good!:rotfl:

At the top of the card it says "Sur presentation de votre Passeport Annuel". So you need to have an annual passport :)

The "carte Déjeuners Découverte" is definitely not only for Annual Passport holders. You can just ask for it at any of the participating restaurants.
As I stated, it is advertised on the French Disney Village website for which I could send you the link (I do not have 10 posts yet).

That's exactly what it is.
No problem or glitches using the "carte", just hand it over when you ask for the bill.
At Rainforest Café we actually ordered just a few minutes before 6PM and were given the 20% off without any problems. We also used it for dinner at Annette's. No problems there either.

So let me get this straight, anyone can walk into any of the restuarants mentioned between 12 noon and 6pm and ask for this card and then be seated at the restuarant for lunch and then get a discount off? Am I understadning this right or not?:confused3

Hi chantaldb, welcome to the DIS! :welcome:
Thanks for the news!! :yay: There was a similar offer last year for annual passholders/shareholders ~ looks like they've made it available to everyone this year! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
As our last October's trip was meant to be on a tight budget we used this offer most days. We used to eat about 3-3.30pm so we could get away with two meals each day (breakfast and one table service) and it was a great time to go eat ~ the restaurants were empty enough that we could be seated immediately but full enough to give some atmosphere. :goodvibes
For some reason it only seems to be advertised on the French portion of the Disney Village website. It pays to know your languages :) Most definitely ~ look how the annual pass info isn't advertised on the UK version. ;)
Did you enjoy your holiday?
