UNCLE JOHN SAYS:

Hi all, I'm uncle John......some of you already know me, most of you dont......
Bear with me this is my first pre-trippie.........I have usually just hitched a ride on others....(the list is too long, you know who you are :worship: ).

Lets get all the basics out of the way first.......I'm a 44 year old chubby- happy guy......(OK, I'm grumpy at times, yep have the shirt)....(Sorry, ladies I know you were hoping for the 6'4" 185lb cut like a knife stud muffin guy, but I'm not!!) But most important....I love going to Disney.........It's my favorite vacation of all times......when I'm there everything is right in the world.......most of you know what I mean.......Its just good times..........:thumbsup2

The family consists of DW-42 (I think!!), DD-17 (pain in my ***), DS-15 good kid, Stepson-14 every moms dream kid (he is a great kid).
This is a 2nd marriage for both of us.......We have made it 11 years......its not easy at times.......I dont recommend step parenting to anybody!!

We are booked for Sept. 6-11 and are taking advantage of "free dining". As you can see by my siggie, we are not taking the kids.......WOOOOO HOOOOO
The 2 boys found out about our secret trip today......boy were they miffed!!! Oh well, we took them last August......they said they were bored at times.......Teens, too cool for the world.......but now that they arent going, they are mad........go figure!!! :sad2:

Here is the itinerary so far......5 nights at POP......(I might surprise DW and upgrade to POR, we would really like POLY but not in the budget now)
1 day park pass.......Where DW works they told her they might be able to give us free park passes.....yes I said FREE.........so we are going to wait a bit and see what happens with that.....

ADR so far: I need help with a few more.

Ohanna's- its a must for us :thumbsup2
Captain Jacks
We are trying to get into LeCellier....booked up so far....hoping for a canc.

We need 2 more dinner suggestions.....peferrably out of parks....We might just hang at the pools this trip.......drink a few totties.......We plan on hitting a few clubs at downtown disney at least 2 nights......

We fly in early Sat. morning (we wont do a park that day) pickup a rental car, should be on property by noon.....

Some of you ask "why uncle john??"........I have a SIL (Hi Nicole)(LOVEBUZZANDWOODY) on this site, I am Uncle John to her 3 GREAT kids........I turned her onto this site and when she was doing a pre trippie my suggestions all started out UNCLE JOHN SAYS: It just kind of stuck....
Some of you know me as UJ !!

So, with out any further.....bring on the help!!! Thanks in advance!!!

DIS ROCKS!!!

BTW, I will post pictures......(gets them every time!!):rotfl2:

Wow, I've never been frist on a TR before! I feel like I hit the lottery!:lmao:

Yay! for Disney without the kids! Do you have anything romantic planned with your wife? And YAY! for free park passes! That will be a real money saver!

How about one of the places at AKL for a dinner? I heard Jiko is really good, but it's also 2 TS credits. I don't know if you wanna do that. Are you looking to do character meals, or doesn't it matter to you? As OLD as I am, I still love the character meals. Stay away from Chef Mickey's for dinner. WCC is always fun. ESPN sucks. Planet Hollywood is good. I've never been, but my sister tells me HOB is good. Do you have any interest in doing something like Hoop De Doo or the Spirit of Aloha dinner? Oh, I hear good things about Kona, too. But, that's another one I've never been to. If I come up with anything else, I'll let you know.

I think you should upgrade and surprise your wife with it.:goodvibes

Tell Nicole I said hi and we miss her!

So, how long will I have to wait for those pictures???

You crack me up.....Congrats on being first!!

We have done BOMA, I liked it, DW didnt....too funky...
Did WCC last trip, liked it.....but probably not this time....Yes, ESPN sucks, I think Planet does too....We did the Aloha thing years ago, very good...WE did the Backyard BBQ too...... I dont want to burn 2 TS credits with such a short trip.....Ever been to any of the Boardwalk rest.?? I like that area....we go to boardwalk every trip....

Romantic??? I havent planned anything.....if we do POR, maybe the horse drawn carriage........come on ladies help me with this one!!!

Sounds like you've been to way more restaurants than me. I don't think PH sucks, though. The only one on the Boardwalk I've been to is ESPN and I was not impressed at all. My mom said she really liked Boatwright's at POR, but I didn't go there. Are you into something like Raglan Road? Its not up my alley, but I've heard both good and bad reports on it. I did always want to try the Big River Grille on the Boardwalk.

As for romantic - what about treating Mrs. UJ to a spa treatment at the GF or Saratoga Springs? You could always call the Disney florist and get some flowers or the rose petal turn down service:banana: . The carriage ride sounds great, and I would love for someone to do that for me, however, I am afraid of horses, so I'm not sure I would like it. Not sure if its in your budget, but the cruises are always a great idea.

Do you both like seafood?

What about a meal at Coral Reef?

How about getting a diver to hold up a sign for you(It is free:) )

Have it say something like

......"I wanted to Tell you How much I love you, Just Because"

The Horse and Carriage Ride at POR would be romantic, too.

yay!! I found you. Great start to your very first Pre-TR :thumbsup2
I think it's great that you and your DW are getting to go without the kiddies. I think you should surprise your wife with the upgrade to POR. That would be so great!

As for the romantical stuff, my DH and I went to WDW on our honeymoon and we did the carriage ride at Ft Wilderness and had a great time. Or, if y'all actually like to ride horses you could do the horseback riding tour.

As for a romantic dinner, if you upgrade to the POR Resort I think you can do a private dinner in your room that could include flowers and champaign or something like that.

Anyways, Great start UJ!! Can't wait to see those pictures :thumbsup2

Ok, I have been checking out menus for my other ressies.......I think I want to try the Micro Brewerey at Boardwalk.....Big River Grille and Brew Works.
We like walking around the boardwalk, not a lot to do but a very nice area.....ESPN club and a few other shops........We could eat dinner first, walk for a hour or so then take the boat across to Yacht club and get ice cream at Beaches and Cream........How does that sound ladies?? BEER, I like BEER!!

Any one ate at Yak & Yeti...........yeti ??? :lmao: Menu looks good there too......photos of the rest. dont impress me much......It does have good reviews......

Have any of you noticed the menus are starting to all look the same.....
They seem to all have a new york strip w/garlic mashed potatos, slab of ribs, mahi mahi and some sort of a chicken dish..........Whats up with that???

You can get there via boat from Epcot or Hollywood Studios.....Its a nice boat ride to break up the day at HS....not much goes on in daytime though.....but it is a good chance to see other hotels.....Yacht, Beach club, Boardwalk, Dolphin, Swan......You go by all of them......:thumbsup2
Its better at night, they have a few (like 3) carnival games set up.....Face painting, hair wrap etc., shops to go in, sometimes jugglers, clowns, bikes to rent, ESPN club is there!!!......At the end of the boardwalk they have a big building that says "Dance Club" on it......dont know it that is what it is or just a banquet hall or what.....
At Yacht club you can see the big pirate ship that has a huge slide that goes over the sidewalk to the pool.....its way up in the air....really cool.....

I think you all have seen it now..............I never really did talk to that lady, I should have asked her if she lived on the cruise ship.......
Dont know if you have heard of that or not but old people have found it is cheaper to live on a cruise ship than live in an assisted living community......you can live on a ship for about 35k a year......nursing homes and such are at least 40k/yr.... Not a bad deal if you think about it....all meals prepared, meet new people every week.....maid service, most cruise lines do your laundry for free if you crusie over 10 times with them.....They always have a Dr. on the ship............What more could you want???

Hi all 4 of you!!! HEY KIMMY WHERE ARE YOU???

Here is my updated list of our ADR:

Sat. - Captain Jacks, Downtown Disney, boat ride from POR!! We love it! ( I have to prepare for my retirement job!!)
.
Sun. - Ohanna's- Magic Kingdom this day...Monorail to Ohanna's, Extra Magic hours in the evening this day!!!

Mon. - Le Cellier- Lunch, Day at Epcot

Tues.- Big River Grille & Brewing Works- Boardwalk, Animal Kingdom this day

Wed.- Crystal Palace, Character Dinner, Magic Kingdom this day too!!

I know we are terrible, we probably wont do Hollywood Studios on this trip (my least fav. park)..we might even skip a day at MK and do a water park instead......We have 4 days of park tickets but we might just keep 2 of them and save them for another trip (they never expire!!!), that way I can plan another trip!!!

that's so cool that you and your DW have house chores worked out that way. Me and my DH are almost that way. LOVE the picture of St. Marten!!! That just looks so heavenly. Dollar Dog looks so exhausted

btw, I have a question for you....not sure if it was on your local news or not but last night our local news did a story on this girl that disappeared from a cruise ship. Apparently she was on a cruise to the Bahamas or something with her boyfriend. He says she was climbing from one balcony to the next and she fell into the ocean. No one has seen her since he says. Is the climbing from balcony to balcony even possible???? :confused3 And if a cruise ship lost a passenger, would they continue on to their port or would they stick around the area to search for the person??? The family thinks that the boyfriend did something to her and is lying. It seems rather strange to me that the ship would continue on with their trip w/o causing any sort of ruckus about the situation. I mean, losing a person is a big deal! Just wanted to see what your thoughts were on the situation. I'll try and find the story online and post the link.

Yes it is. That's why I was asking. Just sounds too odd

Oh yes, I think you should go to WDW for a day. In order to use her florida discount she would have to get the tickets a week in advance so like, now. I tried the same thing when I was there in March and Disney said in order to get the discount you have to buy the tickets a week ahead of when you are going.

Nicole, What do you mean you dont want to spend the money...how can you go that close to the world and not go......what is wrong with you woman??

OK here is the deal on cruise ships (yep i saw the news on the girl, sad).
They all fly a foreign flag (even Disney) to avoid taxes, work standards, immigration issues for employees & etc.
So, they dont really have any governing (government entity) body over them.....once they are in international waters anything goes....When you are on a cruise ship, they dont turn on the casino until you hit int. waters....taxes on stuff are more when in ports on the ship.
So it becomes the perfect place to commit a crime.....(sad but true)...In the case on TV now, the FBI comes in to investigate but they dont have a lot of authority over the whole thing...The cruise lines cooperate because they dont need the bad rap.......I dont even know what they have for security on a cruise ship. On the one we were on they did have guys with shirts that said security.....but what can they really do.....kick you off the boat at the next port.....big deal, you just robbed or killed someone.......
I'm surprised more things havent happened on them......
It's like the girl in Aruba who is missing (Holloway??).....what has really happened in that case.....people arrested for 30 days...then free....

In my opinon the girl got into a fight with knucklehead boyfriend bruiser dude who tossed her off.......he will probably get away with it too....The news said he claimed she was trying to climb to another balcony....she probably was to avoid getting slapped around by him.....the girls mother had photos of bruises on her from months earlier.....nice huh??

I think all the ships should have 24 hr digital surveillance all along the sides of those ships...so they could review them.

I think cruises are safe for the most part......I would feel more secure knowing a little more about the security training employees have on the ship....if any! Do they have any weapons training??? Do they even have weapons??

OK thats my take on that whole thing.........sorry to ramble.

Oh man, I had no idea her boyfriend was abusing her all along. Your theory is probably right then. I agree, they should have more security cameras on those ships since the "law" is so scrambled on there. I had no idea. :sad2: And as for the security guys, I would imagine they don't have any more training than hired security for concerts. They are basically just big guys that "look" like security so to make passengers feel more secure. Total bull!!

Maybe next cruise you go on you should ask the security guys questions. Or maybe ask someone that knows more about cruises, like a TA or something like that :confused3

I am back from Florida... got back late Friday night actually. We didn't go to Disney. :sad1: Next time though! My mom has a friend that works for Disney or a TA or something... some kinda connection. She said next time we come we'll plan ahead and she'll get tix from her. :woohoo:

Let me tell you something though... I decided to try a new route home from her house and I took I-4 over from 75 to 95... hence driving right by the World. It took everything in me not to just pull in there and find somewhere to stay! :scared: I called Tomato and begged him to just take off from work and meet us down there but we all know he is a stick in the mud so he said no.

Butthead. :headache:

Hope everyone is having a nice and relaxing holiday weekend! Uncle John is most likely packing and moving! Been there, done that. :sad2:

:rolleyes1 Where oh where has Uncle John gone, oh where oh where can he beeeeee? :rolleyes1

Actually, they are moving into their new house soon... so they are busy as beavers (:lmao: ) packing!

I have a wee little update pertaining to their trip though! My sister (Mrs. Uncle John) e-mailed me last week and said "I'm not allowed to talk to you about our Disney trip. John says he has some surprises for me. Am I going to like them?" :rotfl2: I think she already disobeyed and "talked" to me! I wrote back and told her that if he was planning surprises that she wouldn't like I would be the first one to be putting a stop to that! ::yes::

So I think I've reassured her to sit back and relax and wait and see.

(If you even knew my sister at all you would know what a complete oxymoron it is to use my sister and "sit back and relax" in the same sentence! :rotfl: )

Hope you are all having a great week! Tat, especially, I hope things have improved since the weekend!

Yeah, I was wondering that myself :confused3 But if he is busy packing to move I suppose I will let it slide.

That's funny that your sister emailed you about their WDW trip and the surprises that UJ is planning. Good way to not spoil anything. Hopefully you put her mind at ease but from the way you describe her that is next to impossible. I know surprises kill me most of the time. Quick story on DW!! Please laugh with me, I dont ever laugh at her..she gets very upset if I do!! (Love knows).......:goodvibes

DW doesnt cook much, I do 90% ofl the cooking....I love to cook so its fine with me....

When we first were married she got up one morning to cook breakfast...I came in the kitchen and she was going to cook bacon and eggs....well, she started cooking the eggs first!!......I knew right then and there I was going to be doing all the cooking!!!.......

So, last night we were looking at stoves.....she called me over to one and said "look at this one it also has an element on the top inside".....I looked at her and said "Honey, that would be called the broiler, they all have one of those!!"........She said "I didint know that, that's why you do all the cooking"...She decided I should just pick out the stove myself......!!! I love her crazy but sometimes she has a real blonde moment!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Sorry, I tried to shrink it down....but I posted it somewhere else already and photobucket wont let me shrink it now........keeps kicking me off the net when I try...

Sharky, Here it is...(It was on page 2.....way back when my PTR was just a baby PTR!!) I will post some interior photos later this weekend...we will be over there cleaning today and moving some stuff in Sunday.....

1950 sq. ft, 4 Bdr. up, 2 1/2 bath, living room, family room w/gas log fireplace, kitchen w/island, dining area, full basement w/garden view windows, deck out back...
small lot (85' X 155') but that is fine with me....less to mow!!:thumbsup2

It is on a new street, 5 houses so far....will have appxox. 20 when completed....The trees/woods you see now will all probably be gone when new homes are built.....a street with houses will be behind us......kind of sad because right now we have deer in the back yard!!

It's perfect for us.......2 blocks from the high school..boys can walk home....
I like it because the boys bedrooms are big enough (10X12) but not too big that they want to live there forever!!! (I know ladies, I'm mean.....) Mommies dont think that way!!!:lmao:

I have to tell her to do things 15 times, and fight with her before she'll do it. I WILL break her of that before her teenage years. The night ended with her hitting me, and I blew up. :furious: <--This was me for real!

No really, we always wondered how restaurants got there bacon to look all curly and perfect, so we were at a really nice breakfast buffet (Hilton or something) and my DH asked the guy behind the table. LOVE IS BACK AGAIN!

Okay... you HAVE to do this! It is sooooooo cool!

Go to this website... http://maps.live.com/#. It's like google earth but you don't have to down load any software. Search for Disney World!

I just spent the last half an hour at the Magic Kingdom! Well... kinda! ;)

I did it! Amazing what we can amuse ourselves with even though we're in our 20's and 30's.

That is right, I forgot it was back there

That house is gorgeous I love it!!

Looking forward to seeing some interior photos:thumbsup2

And I didn't get to take one last dip in the pool. :beach:

Sad that you are laving the home you have known for the last 14 years but I'm sure you'll make lots of great new memories in the new house :goodvibes Here's to only having happy times in the new place!

omg that is crazy about the bear!! Silly people getting angry at the police for taking care of the problem. Everyone just seems to hate ::cop: They don't realize that their job is to protect the citizens. Tickets are bull but sometimes they get lucky with traffic stops and catch a really really bad guy so it helps in some respects. People just need to get over it and realize that if that bear wasn't killed it probably would have killed one of their children. Geez!

UJ IS BACK IN THE HOUSE!!!

I am back up and running DIS'ers !!! And you know what......moving really sucks....I mean it sucks!!!!! I hated every minute of it......We rented a big Ryder truck......4 frickin loads of stuff.......And stuff is a nice term!!! Next time I would have a 5 yard dumpster delivered to the house and start pitching it in!!!!
The Hot tub was a night mare!!! 6 guys and we had all we could do to move it.......$200 to move it by the pool company would have been worth it....
We scratched it, cracked the side board on one side.......pain in my keister!!!

We bought all new appliances........had them delivered......fridge wont open..it fits in the hole but you cant open the freezer side all the way....hits the wall.....so back to the store, return it, order same fridge only smaller.....wont be in until next week......we have an old fridge we keep in the garage for pop & beer (I like beer!!) & misc. stuff.....

We moved our washer and dryer (about 8 years old) and I started looking at them and how beat up they looked.....I wheeled them off the truck and told momma go to Lowes get new ones.......I'm not putting this junk in the new house!! We ordered them today....at least 1 week to get....so my boxers might start to get a little ripe!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Momma picked out the new upright ones......black.....she is very excited...
(yes my sweetie gets excited about a washer and dryer!!)

We have found a lot of little things wrong with the house.....Im not too happy.....my sons top window falls down when you unlock it....about 7 inches.. it has to be adjusted......2 shingles falling off the top of the roof...I looked at them....no nail holes in them......which means they werent nailed...not happy about that.....The air conditioner hasnt been charged with freon......so the house is very hot.....and not all the screens are here...(they have them on order) so we cant open all the windows........:furious:

I think it will all work out.....just take some time......

It was tough today, we did a final walk through of the old house....cleaned up a few final things.....left the keys in the mailbox......we got in the minivan and I looked at momma she looked at me and we both broke down.....it was very sad.....we watched our kids grow up in that house....lots of fun times there!!!!

Oh well, off to a new adventure......kind of like a new ride at the world for the first time.....you never know what to expect!!!!::yes::

I hope all is well with all of you!!!! :thumbsup2

Hey Uncle John! I have been reading along, just not posting. Life is busy with a 3 month old, 4 year old and 5 year old. :faint: When we built our house 8 years ago we found lots of little things wrong after closing. Keep on them because they seem to forget about you once you close. Good luck!

I hadn't heard that story here in Detroit about the bear. Our news coverage goes from the mayor scandal, to the Red Wings, back to the mayor!!

BTW - I would be thrilled to pieces to get a new washer/dryer and would cry my eyes out leaving my house. I get very sentimental about those things!

Can't wait to hear more.

We are trying to adopt a puppy! We've been approved by the rescue and are having him come for a couple days starting Monday to give it a trial run. They like to do this so that we are sure he's the right dog for us and that we are the right people for him.

We went and played with him this morning and Mama Love is in  with this dog!

Here he is!

His name is Tank for now... that is subject to change though. :rolleyes1 They called him that because he reminded them of a little tank engine. He is (we think) a lab and basset hound mix and is 5 months old. He is the cutest thing I ever saw! :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

You would think wouldnt you?? The frig will be on clearance I'm sure. Nothing wrong with it...just didnt fit.....I dont know about the washer...could be problems with that (big time dent in back & side)!!

Lowes doenst do crap about retail fraud or shoplifting either.......they dont press charges on any one.....A big builder in my city was caught stealing a bunch of stuff....they didnt do anything about it.....had him on video and everything!!

I stood in line behind a guy who was buying the same Dewalt drill ($300) I was buying......The checkout lady said "wow, you are getting a good deal on that". So when I got to the register she told me he got it on clearance for $125...told me where he said he got it...I went and looked.....nothing, I went to the tool dept. counter and told the mgr. about it.....he said we dont ever clearance out Dewalt drills!!! We went over to the checkout.....the lady said someone crossed out the bar code with a black marker and wrote $125 on the box...she did an over ride on the price.....
The guy from tools was pissed......but they didnt want to do any more about it than that.....didnt want to review cameras, reciepts....anything.....I dont know how the store makes any money with stuff like that goingon....

OK, some of you dont know this.... but, I work for a law enforcemnt agency in MI....I am on the Highway all the time... This happened to me the other day......get your kleenex ready....

I was on a motorist asst. when a lady pulled up to me and said "you need to go back north and help a little old man out...he is broke down......he must be 85 years old....please go help him".....So, off I go....

I found a 1995 Dodge Caravan with the four ways on, hood up....little old man jumps out...I get out of my car and tell him to please stay in your car....I ask him what is wrong......he tells me his van keeps overheating....wont start.....So I get the info. and call him a wrecker....
This guy is 90 years old, clothes are a mess....yellow stuff all over them.....I look in the pass. seat and see a huge tub of cheese balls (like cheese curls)..he's got that stuff all over him.......I just chuckled.....

The van is packed full of stuff.....I mean everything......I ask him where he is headed....he said "back home to Grand Rapids, I'm orig. from there, been retired living in Florida for 20 years". He asks me to stay there with him until the wrecker comes....I tell him sure.....no problem......He goes on to tell me he is moving back to GR to live with one of his kids....he had 6 kids, 19 grand children and 42 great grand children....He proceeds to tell me about his life.......politics, religion, unions, young people etc....just a great guy.....he had a trailer in the Tampa area...sold it all .....(Basically, he is coming home to die).

He gave me a phone number for a daughter in GR, I called her and when she answered I told her who I was and where I worked, she started screaming.."is he all right"?....I told her he just broke down....he would be home late..I let her talk to him........(all on my cell of course, my depart. cant afford squat)

He then tells me you know why I have lived so long?? He then tells me because of his wonderful wife......she died 10 years ago......He reaches in to his shirt pocket and pulls out some papers, thumbs threw them and locates a photo of his wife...he holds it up and says "Isn't she beautiful", he then looks at it and starts crying.......he told me she passed about a week after the photo was taken.......man, it even got to me.........I had to go back to my car for a minute.....big tough guy cant be getting all flubbery on the road!!

We talked a bit longer and then the wrecker arrived.......I pulled the wrecker driver aside and said "hey, this old guy is going home to die, take it easy on him......he asured me he would be fare with him......

The old guy got out of his van to get in the wrecker, he came up to me and gave me a hug.....said "thanks for staying with me".......

You just dont see stuff like that anymore.......:)

LOVE CRIES!!!

:( We might have to cancel our cruise. :sad1: Abby's middle school called today and a class that she needs to take is only offered on another track (which is basically another schedule) and we have no choice but to switch. This means we are not off at the same times we were going to be. I didn't think it was a big deal until I looked to see about making it a month sooner and there IS NOT a cruise when I need it.

Our choices are as follows:

1. Leave it and take the kids out of school ~ which I really don't like because Abby misses enough school due to her asthma.

2. Go in April or July to the tune of :scared1: $12,000... for the same cruise that we have booked for $5522..... I think NOT! :furious:

3. Go in Jan. for $1000 more than what we have booked now. I thought, hey, that is not bad. Tomato thinks differently. :headache:

4. Scrap the cruise and just go to Disney. :( We could do this and then schedule a cruise for the following year I guess. But that really bums me out.

I would go for choice number 4, and try for a cruise the next year. Cruises will always be there. And going just to Disney isn't a bad thing.

I really hate to say it but I think this may be what we do. Our DU agent is checking dates and I'm not seeing anything I like time-wise and more importantly price-wise. :(

HEY UJ..... when do y'all wanna go next year? Let's have a grand gathering, shall we? ::yes::

Bambi!!! :cloud9:

Also... did you get cheese all over your uniform when he hugged you? ;)
(Hey, had to lighten it up a little bit, kwim? )

Ok I just pictured someone sitting in their car, the police officer is walking up, they start to say "Officer...I really wasn't speeding..." And they crack up at the site of the police officer standing there with cheese doodle dust all over his uniform :lmao:

WHAT WOULD Y'ALL DO??????????????????????

I'm so sorry Love. I say GO TO DISNEY! :thumbsup2

Me three!

The more the merrier! :thumbsup2 Anyone else?

Since UJ is obviously busy I'm going to hijack and take a poll! :teacher:

Which month would you rather go to Disney and why~

1. January
2. April
3. July
4. October

Furthermore... which of those months would you NOT go and why?

(Okay, July seems an obvious month to NOT go but maybe some feel differently. :confused3 )

Hm... if I had my choice I guess I would say 4. October. Reason - less busy and the not so scary party. January would run second. I'm not much for waiting in ridiculously long lines.

End of July to be exact. I have so much to do to get ready for it. I've been gone off the DIS so much that I'm even slacking on my own PTR!

I think that is a great story. How nice of you to stay with the old man and talk with him and such. And that is SO sweet that he hugged you just before he got in the wrecker. Thanks for sharing. It's not often that you hear things like this anymore

I knew I missed something somewhere when you mentioned canceling your cruise on Sharky's thread. I'm really sorry you have to do that. If it were me I'd probably chose option #4 too. The cruise will always be there and there are lots of updates at WDW for you to look forward to

The only month listed that I would NOT go is July. Too hot and too crowded. October is fabulous. Nice and cool and very low crowds and also MNSSHP!! :thumbsup2
