This is our first cruise and we were just assigned room 8508 on the May5th Wonder. We were on GTY status and just received room no. Anybody stay in this room? Any comments?

Thanks for the help!

We are going on our first cruise and are staying in cabin 8508 on the June 20 Magic. I too am interested in hearing from anyone that has stayed ther and from you after your stay.

No problem -- will report back.

Thanks!

8508 is on a dead-end hallway, so you won't have lots of through traffic. It's located underneath the Vista Spa, so you won't have noise from outdoor deck activity above. There is no door to a connecting room, so you shouldn't hear your neighbors. It's convenient to the Forward elevators. Transparent verandah railing. Nice, spacious Category 4. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Hi Dave!

Thanks for the info. Can you tell me again the difference in the verendahs?

Appreciate the help!

Most verandahs have a railing that you can see through. It's lined with PlexiGlas so your little ones can't climb up on the railing, but it's like looking through a window. Maximum visibility. Some rooms at the rear of the boat have a steel railing... you can't see through them.

We stayed in 8500 on the Magic last week and LOVED it! VERY spacious, quiet and loved the verandah. We didn't even use all the drawers and there were four of us! We were comfortable and would definitely book the same type room again!

Just returned from Wonder 3/24. We were next door in 8506. Great room! Something Dave didn't mention - the 9th deck above has a curved overlook which begins to jut out at 8506, and is completely over 8508. This makes a difference when (if) inclement weather strikes (it rained for about 15 min. in Freeport after we came back to the ship and we were on the verandah watching them prepare to cast off). The room as I understand it has a few more sq. ft. then the others designed the same way. You'll love it.
