The past couple of weeks, song birds have been showing up in more frequent numbers in the backyard. I have been shooting away with my new Nikkor 70-300 VR on the D50 body. Below are some of the cropped, but otherwise untouched images.

I believe that is a Tufted Titmouse. They are hard to capture - they're fast! I usually tempt them with peanuts.

That's some backyard you have...wow! A bluebird (never seen one) and a rose breasted grosbeak...very nice.

Here's another bluebird shot. We built a box for them, but it was overtaken by sparrows twice. Oh well, maybe next year...
