First thing I need to do tomorrow is go to the post office.
We think our mail was stolen.
Went out shopping yesterday and when we came home, our mailbox door was open. Nothing inside. Look down the street and the three mailboxes before ours, open doors.
This is not a good feeling. Identity theft scares me.
Rest of the day depends on that. May be spending time at the police station filling out reports and then time on the phone to the credit bureau(s).

oh AWM that stinks!!! good luck tomorrow.
i can't be thinking about tomorrow right now. trying to do today's junk!
back downstairs in the basement, going through boxes that we never opened from the move 9 years ago tomorrow!!! if i have not needed it in 9 years, i guess i don't need it now!:rotfl:
if anyone is going back to the 80's, i have the perfect outfit!!!! i can't not believe the crap that's down there. really. out, out, out it goes. it's just a shame, everything is in perfect shape. my neice works for underprivileged families so she took 2 big bags yesterday. i told her they were in perfect condition but 80's & 90's style. and her reply was- when you have nothing you take anything. very true. made me feel bad that i was throwing stuff out. dh is cleaning his half (tools and junk) and i dont think he's happy about it. :scared1: car parts, engines, tires, tools, tool boxes, all up into the garage where it belongs. ds just looks at us like we're nuts. i'm dragging stuff out and he's dragging it back in. how about books? what do i do with them? i hate to throw them out. so much stuff needs to go. i've got the urge to purge!!!
ok wish me luck, back at it!

For the books, call your local libraries. One of mine just had their quarterly yard sale. They will take your books for you and sell them and the proceeds go to the library. If they are really good books, they will keep them and put them out to lend.

good idea!
i'll call this week. i just hate to throw away good stuff. ya know what i mean?

AWM, call the credit bureau now... have them put a fraud alert on your accounts.. I think you can get that option in their automated system...
Regardless of what the PO or police say call the credit bureaus tomorrow and have it done... We did this years ago and it stopped a lot of those crazy "pre-approved" things... YEah! Less crap mail in the landfill or the recycling bin... Now if anyone tries to apply for credit or even if we apply for credit they call to verify we have done it and than they proceed...

Happy Monday, everyone!!
Here's my list for today:
1. Work (back after 2 days out. . .yikes!)--DONE
2. Work on Eat Around the World Swap
3. Order PhotoPass pics--did this on Sunday
4. Dinner with KAMommy & crew--postponed until Tues. since KAMommy's DH is sick
5. Scrub kitchen
My house is in such a wreck--this list should be a mile longer!! Since I haven't been able to do much of anything for the past 4 days, it's like a cyclone hit my house! :scared1:
Oh well! I hope everyone has a great day!

AWM--that's so scary about your mail!! I hope that everything gets fixed ok!
po3--way to go, cleaning everything out!! DH & I are trying to do that, and I've hit that wall where we can just throw EVERYTHING away, and that's fine with me!! DH, on the other hand, isn't as thrilled! ;)

The urge to purge! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Too funny.
Whenever there is an urge to purge, go with it. When I get in one of those moods, I try going through as many closets as possible.
After being away last week, I feel like I have a ton to do and Monday is always our busy day. Out the door by 7:15 am, not home until 8:15 pm, UGH.
To Do:
Catch up in DD's school communication log.
Stop at the bank. Messed up my account when I was away. :scared1:
Scan some docs
Change purses
Catch up at work.
Bring in laundry off the line, hang up to more loads.
Locate the camera. This is the reason I am changing purses, the one I am using is too small to hold my camera and I keep putting it into "safe" spots and my pea brain keeps forgetting my "safe" spots.
Locate greatgrandparents photos that I so safety put aside into a "safe" spot and now can't find since we came back from vacation. I am hoping it is in my scrapbooking bags.
Can today be over already? :scared: I'm feeling a bit stressed already, think I need to stop at Dunkin Donuts for a mochachino.

Good news. We happened to have NO mail on Saturday. So if someone was looking for something, they were out of luck with us.
So I went shopping. Bad news, I spent 70 dollars at Hobby Lobby. I got lots of adhesive, paper/cardstock, some ink & a light box. I have these great brass stencils, but they are so hard to use by themselves.
I also walked my two miles, before the storms hit. Hope to get one more in on the treadmill. If I take it slow, it should be okay.
Thanks for all the well wishes!

Thats good AWM... buy maybe you should consider the fraud alert just in case since you are in the country... But I'm so glad you had nothing in that box..
Storms.. Storms.. We've had nothing... na da... 2 nights ago we had thunder and lighting, winds.. and than Na da! Suppose to rain still today.. so we wait...
AlexWyattMommy
04-28-2008, 01:27 PM
I'm hoping DH will say okay to fraud alert. I'm pretty sure that it is free. His concern is what will it do when we use our cards. I think it only affects new stuff. Yes?

That is great news AWM! We had storms Friday night- huge rain, wind and hail. Tornados north of us. Then Sunday morning early we had more big rain, wind and hail. Today it is beautiful.

Glad everything is ok with the mail...really scary stuff though!! I hate getting those credit card things in the mail, and the "use this check to pay off your balance" ones are just as bad.
We have had qiute a time yesterday and today with the nursing home that DUnc96 is in. Seems someone there has decided that he can only eat puree foods...are you kidding me?!? DH has been on the phone raising all kinds of Holy H*** http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/angry034.gif Poor DUnc96 is finally getting some strength back, and an appitite, and some jerk has decided that he can only eat baby food?!? DH and I are going in tonight to raise some more "HH" and taking in some yummies and maybe even a beer for DUnc96. DH is going to sign a waiver paper or something, and hopefully that will end the baby food...Honestly, you have to watch every day, because last week he was getting solid foods, DH even took in KFC and her ate really well. We found out by accident on Saturday that this was on the chart :confused3

Puree.. the only reason he would need puree is if he had no teeth *and you all would know that*..
Did they do a swallowing study on him for some reason?? Probably not over the weekend.... So, why in the world..
Well, if you and DH get tired give me a ring.. I'll let them have it.. and besides that.. the DR. has to request a puree diet, doesn't he?? I know when I worked in the nursing homes that doctor's had to order it...
I'd be given the doctor a call too..

It is perfectly okay for mommies to be selfish every once and while. Giving birth does not mean we have lose self respect. Although while we doing the giving of the birthing, there ain't much respecting going on. :rotfl2:

Ok, well I am not getting Mom of the Year. Took DD to the doctor for her annual check-up. She has never fully recovered from her virus from 3 weeks ago but I kept thinking it was just one of the colds that she couldn't shake. Well she has a sinus infection. :scared: Ooooops. I feel horrible. Although she never complains and things never hurt so how was I supposed to know??? :confused3 When she had strep throat 2 years ago and had to be hospitalized for it, she was eating cheese burgers and it didn't faze her. So 2 hours later we are finally home with her meds.:headache:

It is soo hard when the little ones are sick.
My little bit still has coughing at night from his allergies. Doesn't do it during the day, just at night. Makes it hard for him and me to get any rest. Such a grumpy bug in the morning.
Hope everyone's little ones start feeling better soon.
