An Elephant one
Two from the Amish country depicting a place where they make cheese and an Amish quilt and garden (so pretty)

I hope to be getting ours together. We have a big weekend coming up. DS makes his First Holy Communion so this week has been crazy between my work (always busy at end of month) and rehersal and cleaning. Those "Too bad you're not here" kind of postcards are a waste of paper. Don't know why they even bother to print the things. Guess though, if you live in a holiday area you can expect those kind of ones.:(

Then the majority of ours have a bit of a ways to go ;) and I wanted to take them to the post office myself so DH would not know what shipping costs were LOL...so I am in line and the postal worker gave me my stamps and said $81.00!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: I said WHAT!!!!! OMG OMG and totally went into panic mode and she said "oh oh I am so sorry...$5.81" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: It was very funny!!

3 lovely cards from Spookysarah of Angus. Much sunnier pictures than my memories of Scotland! Thankyou for the cards and the interesting long descriptions they must have taken ages to write.

3 Cards of Hampshire from Parisdisneyfan. I used to work in Basingstoke but don't know the Southampton area at all. They were lovely views and have made me think I ought to explore the New Forest some time.

Now all I have to do is explain to my friends how I got postcards from total strangers!

Tracie, scooterdevil, sent me some postcards from Hampshire, and one depicts lots of local sights to see. The other shows a landscape of the New Forest in all seasons. They are good cards to keep, thank you!

I am assuming that these are all in England. Although I have taken 2 cruises around the British Isles, we really have only been around London, in England. We saw wonderful things there, and I hope we make it to Hampshire someday.

Tracie, scooterdevil, sent me some postcards from Hampshire, and one depicts lots of local sights to see. The other shows a landscape of the New Forest in all seasons. They are good cards to keep, thank you!

I am assuming that these are all in England. Although I have taken 2 cruises around the British Isles, we really have only been around London, in England. We saw wonderful things there, and I hope we make it to Hampshire someday.

Got our postcards from SpookySarah today!! I was so excited to get an air mail from Scotland! After seeing the movie "The Water Horse" I want to go there. Now after seeing other pictures, I REALLY want to go!!!

Also, interesting side note, I noticed the postmark was from Edinburgh and got excited because my father many many years ago went there while stationed in the army. He attended the Music Festival held there. (He was HUGE classical music fan!!) It just made me think of him and when he would tell me all about his military days.:goodvibes

The postcards showed us about where Sarah is from, where her DH is from and a wonderful card of the J.M. Barrie museum with a statue of Peter Pan! So nice!! Thank you for such a wonderful exchange!:love:

Big mail day here!!!!

We received post cards and a Mickey Pen and Strawberry Kiwi Gum (it was so funny when I opened the envelope I pulled the gum and Matt yelled DIBS!! Then I pulled out the pen and he stood there with his mouth open!! :rotfl: It will teach him to wait until the package is opened before yelling out!!;) ) from MommaU4. Thank you so much! My DH was pointing all sorts of things out since he was there in March for a work convention. He was at Mandalay Bay. He would love for me to come out for a couple days because he said the restaurants in the hotels are just incredible. :) Thank you again, Beth!

Then our last envelope was from Bobbi and how cool is it that you sent a post card from the Washington Crossing Inn! Up until November of 07 I worked literally a stone throw away from there!! It was a riot when my DH saw the card, he looked at the ones from Ohio and then gets the to the Washington Crossing and says "wow there is a Washington Crossing Ohio also...that looks like our WX Inn.....ohhhhhhh now I get it" And he is the one I hope my son gets his brains!;) It was cute. :rotfl: Thank you so much!!
