Hi,
Just wanted to post that I recieved a message from my guide Nelida when I was at BWV last week.
She just wished me a great trip and to call her if I needed anything and to let her know if my expectations were met.

I thought that was so nice and she went "above and beyond".
It was a really nice surprise that she called to check if my vacation was going well.
Very nice touch.....I LOVE MY DVC:love:

Our guide has called us during every trip we've made, too. It is a nice touch.

Yup we get a call from Bill every trip. I'm surprised they are "real voice" and not a recording.

I've never ever received a call from my guide! (Except when I called him and he was returning a call - he is good about that)

I also got a call from my guide Nelida when I was there. As it turns out, she was also there at the same time. She normally is based out of CA.

Our previous guide, Mita, used to do this every trip. I really like our new guide. But she hasn't done this so far.

Our first trip home will be in October. How do the guides know if you are vacation?

Our first guide called us each vacation and left the message. :thumbsup2 Nice touch, but then he was promoted at the same time we doubled our points.

Our new guide never makes that call. We joke that he probably thinks we aren't in the market for more points so that extra touch wouldn't pay dividend.
:lmao:

You know it is funny because Nelida called me at the BWV....and she knew that I was staying there on the DVC cash rate, and that I was going to OKW on points. They must get a list of all there clients trips and they do with them what they want.

Definately a nice touch.....happy to see that a lot of us received that call.

Our guide leaves a message on all our trips, even called VB.

If my guide calls me I am going to bust out laughing.

It's not that I don't like the man, but I don't buy the theory on here. They don't call because they "love" us, they call to "remind" us who they are to sell us more points LOL!

I know he calls for "sales" purposes, we may get add-onits while at the World. :rotfl: We just keep track of how many days or hours it takes to get the call. At VB, we figured it was yet another "chair holding" warning message, but it was our guide!

Exactly!!

My guide left Disney. He was nice....never called me.

My attitude is "I'll call you, don't call me"

However I understand why they do it.

Our guide calls practically every trip and leaves a message welcoming us. The only problem is that most of the time I'm solo, yet he welcomes both of us. But it's still nice of him to take the time.

Maybe the reason I can't even get my guide to return my calls when I leave a message asking to by more points is because he is "busy" making courtesy calls to his other members who are at WDW!:rotfl:

I think if my guide called me of his own accord I'd take it as a sign of the apocalypse.:scared1:

Fortunately for me, I don't plan on any more add ons.:rolleyes1

It's like getting a thankyou note from your car salesman but it is still a nice touch regardless of the purpose; It takes time and a little effort.

Its called good salesmanship. Its amazing just how many salespeople don't get the overall picture.

My guide called when DD and I were there in April. I never had a moment to return the call though. Although we were right across the street from the sales center, I should have stopped in. LOL

I figured he was calling to make sure everything went well on our first DVC visit.
It was a nice touch IMO.
