TORONTO AREA NEWS re: TTC STRIKE

Hey everyone, just a heads up for those in the GTA, the TTC (public transportation) is officially on strike as of midnight tonight (which was about 10 minutes ago). Just wanted to post this for anyone needing to use transit this weekend. Apparently they're trying to get back to the bargaining table tomorrow to try to work something out.

Queens Park, home of the Ontario legislature, just passed back to work legislation.

Let's see if the TTC workers caught up in this dispute show up for work. Looks like this is more about a power struggle in the upper echelons of the union than a beef with management

When I moved from Montreal 20+ years ago I couldn't believe how bad the TTC service was. Now it is even more pathetic.

Mississauga chance-it isn't much better.

I do like the Go trains though.
