Sitting here staring at the computer trying to take it all in LOL It is all so overwhelming YIKES
Anyway we are going for 10 days. We have 7 day hoppers with the water park option.( don't have to use all 7 days but for the price difference we figured what the heck) Would like to hit the beach one day as well. Are we doing too much if I try and squeeze Sea World in there??? Is it worth it??? I haven't been since I was a kid but I do remember enjoying it and I think my gang would like it too. Choices choices choices.........LOL

Sounds like our trip in March.
We did 7 days at WDW, staying on site.
Then we did a day at seaworld, a day at the beach and a day at Kennedy Space Centre... then left for home the next day.

Personally, I'd skip the beach day because of travel time and maybe substitute a water park or a bit of lazing around a hotel pool.
My family loves Seaworld. We usually do two half-days there because, under their present admissions policy, once you've paid for a day's admission, you can come back free for a second day (sometimes they're running a thing where you can come back unlimited for a whole week, but it's been second-day-free for at least 3 years now).
The thing about Disney parks is that, because you burn a whole day the minute you step through the turnstile, it always seems like a waste not to go-go-go as long as possible. So a day at the Disney parks is usually long and action-packed, and we often need a half-day activity the next day to allow for a little snoozing, relaxing, and recovering. Seaworld is perfect for that because you get two days for the price of one.
But you know, if your family is all about the rides, Seaworld won't be worth it for you. If you like shows and critter-viewing, go for it!

We just returned from a 8 day trip. We did Seaworld for the 1st time. We had the 2nd day free so long as it was within 7 days of our initial visit.
We easily did all we wanted to do in 1 day at Seaworld, but went back on the 2nd visit to hit a couple of the shows again.
Lots of great shows, but lacking on the rides.

The first year we took our children to Florida someone advised that we go to Seaworld before any Disney parks. It was very good advice for us. It was a good way to get into the groove of park touring and they really didn't know what to expect so were quite impressed with all that Seaworld had to offer. I have heard comments that when children visit Disney first that Seaworld just doesn't seem to compare. I know our kids love Seaworld and it's always a must do for us.
I too would be tempted to skip the beach day...but we live on an Island with beautiful beaches!!!
Rememeber if you don't do everything the first time, it gives you a reason to go back again!

Skip the beach. Hit the water parks. Wait until your next visit to do Seaworld.
We did Seaworld on our second trip down and took advantage of the 2nd visit within 7 days, glad we waited. Great value.

We did SW last year and we really enjoyed it. The best part was petting the dolphins. For the cost of a tray of fish (you get three fish for $5 or something liek that), you can go up and feed the dolphins. FYI: Sign up for the Southwest rewards card on their site. You print it out on your home computer and save 20% off the gate price.

You're right. There are alot of choices and I hate to be the party pooper here but the facts are that with 10 days you can't do them all (at least not properly).
My advice (since you asked) would be to stick to Disney this time and include at least one down day(or two half-days) just hanging around the pool.:cool2:
Wouldn't it be cheaper to add park days to your 7 daypass than go to seaworld?:confused3
Tell us more about your gang (ages and preferences) and we can give you more specific advice.

I checked out the transportation forum and Seaworld forum. There are only 7 of us so we are doing a taxi-van but here is a link to one of the threads.

Speaking from recent personal experience I would say leave it till next time.
My family (Me, DH, DD5, DS3, DS21 months) did WDW for the frst time last October for 8 days (not including travel) and we just stuck to WDW and one water park and of course DTD. We thought this way we could really see Disney and what it had to offer. We saw a lot of it, but there are still things we didn't get to, and we did full, full days at the park, and wish we had a little more down time, just hanging at the pool, etc. It was also nice that once our kids found something they liked we could ride it/see it more than once - which is good at that age.
We are returning Feb 2009 for 13 days and we will be doing Sea World and probably one or two days at Universal Studios this time as well as lots of time at WDW.
I hope that helps.

YES. Take the monorail from MK and I believe it's the 2nd stop.

Ok second question is the Ticket Center in the MK or outside of it Are we going to need a park pass for that day??

There are a couple of ways to get to the Ticket and Transportation Centre. You could take a cab, there is parking so you can drive yourself or you can take the monorail. There are two monorail loops. One goes to MK as well as the deluxe hotels and the other loops goes to Epcot. The Ticket and Transportation centre is the stop where both of them meet. If you are staying at a hotel closer to Epcot you might want to take the Epcot monorail loop directly there.
I will advise you that you need exact change to ride the lynx bus.
You can look up the lynx bus system on the internet to find out the prices and the times.

We took the monorail at MK. It's located to the left just before the entrance. You don't need to enter the park to access it.

our party of 4 took the disney busses to dtd then took the lynx city busses to seaworld. it goes right to seaworld from dtd on one bus. now with 13 people you'd likely need more than one taxi van to take you all so this would be a good way for you all to travel together! you cab google their bus system name and find the bus you need to take.
we loved seaworld and if we had been down longer than 7 days we'd have yaken advantage of the 2nd day free!

Am I the only one who didn't love SeaWorld. The staffers pushing the photos were much more aggresive then anything we've ever encountered at WDW. Plus anyplace that offers a free bear tasting just doesn't thrill me. The place just seemed grubby compared to WDW. After a show or two they all start to look the same to us. I would skip the beach day and hit the water park. Head to Typhoon Lagoon. There's a huge wave pool and lots of sand, you can save the drive and still get the beach feel

sea world is fantastic. I found it to be a much more relaxing park even the rides had short lines when disney was full to capasity. Its a good park for a break.

I love SeaWorld. I like it for the shows, and don't even bother with the rides. The picture salespeople are more aggressive, but walking away works. We did the pose on a fake whale group picture last time, and it was NOT worth it. The quality of the picture was horrible! That was 2 years ago, so hopefully they've improved their printers now. The Clyde & Seymour show was cheesy, funny and thoroughly enjoyable!
