I have reservations for PO for a family reunion, and I just realized they don't offer coffeemakers in the room at that resort! Do you know if we can bring our own? Thanks a bunch!

Sure! Like with any electrical cooking appliance it should be used on a heat proof surface the vanity by the sink it a good choice, (just keep the power cord away from the sink) and unplugged when not in use. Have a great trip!

..but then I read on the threads that you can request one at any Disney resort. At any rate, I never wanted to chance that they would be out of them and I'd be out of my coffee fix!

This is NOT the case any longer. The AS don't have them even on request. Not sure about the moderates.

When we were there in October we stayed at CBR and they did still have coffee makers, BUT now they charge for the coffee. It has a price on it just like the cups that you can use for soda, etc in the food courts. I think it was between 2 and 3 bucks per pack.
I am thinking of taking a small bag of my own coffee and a few filters this time in May when we are staying at CS.
I know it will only save around $10, but hey, that is $10 I can spend on lunch for me at least.

It was awhile back when I read it.
If you have room in your luggage, I'd still bring one if you could,
you never know (plus, you never know how long it has been since the hotel one was last cleaned out with vinegar...yuk if it hasn't!).

I purchased a small 4 cup Mr. Coffee for my DH to take to WDW. I always supply him with those filter packs for his coffee first thing in the AM.

CBR charges for coffee? How ridiculous!! We were just at CSR, and we asked for 2 coffee bags per day, and they provided it, no problem, no charge.

Thanks for information! I like the idea of bringing a 4 cup coffeemaker along. That way it wouldn't take up too much room.
I feel much better knowing that I can start my day with my caffeine fix! :D
