Does anyone know exactly where on cocoa beach yesterday's shark attack happened? How is the little girl?

I read about it in yesterdays Sentinal. I heard she had a serious but non-life threatening bite. She was only about knee deep at the time, and crawled up on to the beach on her own.
It's starting early this year...

According to our local newspaper article she's doing ok. She was transported from Cocoa Beach to Orlando Regional Medical Center and then on to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children & Women, also in Orlando. She's had her surgery, it was successful, and her mother says it will be a long recovery though doctors think she'll be able to return home soon. She was jumping in the waves, which were less than knee deep. After the attack her younger brother pulled her out. The one thing the article does not state is where exactly she was when attacked. Our paper will probably have more updates as the little girl is from here.

This is a link to a short article in the Daytona Beach News - Journal about the incident. Not many details at all.

Oh great. We're booked to spend a couple of days at Cocoa Beach after our cruise. DW was worried about last year's attacks in Florida and I pointed out that there was no sign anywhere on the web about an attack ever at Cocoa Beach (although there have been quite a few just north of KSC over the years). I'm sure we'll still let the DS and DD go in the water...it's just now I'll have to go in there with them (so much for just laying on the beach).
