I was doing my research on the All-Star Movies resort and came across something about preferred rooms. Is it $10 more per night? Does it just guarentee you a room in the Fantasia section or do you get even more amenities? Do you think it's worth the extra money just to stay in the Fantasia section? Thanks so much for any info! :) :) :)

Don't bother. Request a room in the Toy Story section (either Buzz or Woody). Both of these are right next to the foodcourt, as well as a quick walk to the bus stop & main pool. It is close to the parking lot, but you don't have a parking lot view. We stayed in Buzz last trip and had a view of Andy's room.

For me, the extra 10.00/night isnt worth it. My kids prefer Toy Story or Mighty Ducks theming so I will always try for one of those. As for being closer to the pool, food court and bus stop, I felt the whole resort was prety compact. We walked from TS to the MD pool(one end of the resort to the other) in probably 7 minutes. There are no extra amenities that Im aware of in the preferred rooms.

That's what I thought. I was already leaning more towards Toy Story or 101 Dalmations. Thanks for the feedback!

We've stayed in the Dalmations section. It is also close to the main pool and food court and I don't think it gets requested nearly as much as Toy Story. You may have a better shot at a room there. :)

Just came back from there and we could only get the preferred rate. We were in a ground floor room in Fantasia(next to kiddie pool and laundry) and it was a great location! We were so pleased and didn't mind spending the extra money for it. The ground floor is so much more convenient. I did notice that the Toy Story building was also close. The difference in walk is probably minutes.
