How This Trip Came To Be
We honeymooned in Disney in January of this year and had the time of our lives!!! Once we got back we immediately began planning a second trip and decided on March 2009. About 2 months ago I mentioned to DH that free dining may be announced for September and told him that I would love to go. He just told me there's no way we could afford another trip so soon, he didn't want to go back so soon since we already had planned for March 2009, and pretty much said NO and let it go. So I said ok, I didn't really expect him to say yes anyways!! Well about a week ago we were sitting on the couch and hubby asked me how I would feel about a VERY short trip to WDW. I asked him what kind of question was that?!!?!? A trip was a trip in my eyes!!! I also told him that a friend of mine from work (Timber) was planning on taking her fiance' and his 2 kids in July 2009 and wanted to go before then to sorta scope things out ahead of time and enjoy a childless trip and I asked if she could go with us and he said if we went she could tag along! He asked if there was free dining in September and i told him yes, but I seriously doubted there would be any availability still. He told me to call and check and if we could get free dining then we could afford a short trip. I knew we couldn't afford a moderate or higher with this short notice, so I called on a Friday evening and requested POP first - nothing available with free dining, then ASMu - nothing with free dining... the CM did have "a few rooms still left with the free dining" at AMSo. Unfortunately we weren't in the position to book right then so I told him I would need to call back - he said if I wanted this deal to make it quick because it wouldn't last for long! I had to talk to DH and Timber and get Timbers deposit money and wait until MONDAY to book.... I was nervous all weekend long!!! Finally Monday afternoon I called and was able to book at All Star Movies!!! The CM I spoke with was so friendly and tried to get me something at POP or ASMu, but couldn't. That's ok though - we are going to DISNEY 5 months earlier than planned!!!!!!!!!!! AND still going in MARCH!!! So here's what we got -
**3 adults**
September 18th-21st, 2008
1 room at ASMu (preferred)
4 day base tickets
Free dining plan
$1033.40
WOW - what a deal!!! So we split the price with Timber and ended up paying $689 for DH and I for a 4 day trip to WDW - not bad at all!!!

I also posted this on my TR, but if I have readers here who are not following my TR, here's the info!!! I just wanted to let everyone know that my updates may be a little sporadic in the next few days/weeks because I just found out this morning that I am pregnant!! DH is at work and I tested this morning so he doesn't know - I have to figure out an amazing way to tell him! Looks like I'll be pregnant during our September trip and the baby will be about 10 weeks old during our March trip!!

Hi there! I just got done reading through all of your first trip report, and I really enjoyed it, so I wanted to join on here. My DH and our two DDs will be going to Disney in October, and it will be the first time for DH and the girls. I am the OBSSESSED one! I used to teach special ed preschool, so I too can appreciate what a special person teaching takes. Now I am a stay at home mom, which means more to me than anything.
I also wanted to tell you congratulations on the little one. We went through two years of fertility treatments and a loss before we managed to conceive DD #2. DD #1, on the other hand, was a complete surprise. We're hoping #3 will be easier as well, but I've told DH I reguse to be pregnant when we go to Disney, so he has resigned himself to waiting until after that (or at least until we get there). My mom is going with us, so we will have some time to ourselves, and we have a date night planned while we're there.
Can't wait to read more!

Well you guys - here's a little update about what's going on - we had a little issue with our plans for September -- It's not DH and I -- It's my friend Timber..... The short version is that she and her (now) ex-fiance have broken up and he broke into her house and stole TONS from her. We had to cancel the trip so that we could give her her money back so that she could make do until things get straighten out with her issues :guilty: But it's ok - we are re-booking very soon! The bad news is that we will not be able to take advantage of free dining, but we will be able to still go in September. The new plan is September 19-23rd, POP Century, 5 day hoppers, and disney dining plan. We will be booking when the tax rebate checks come in (in 2-3wks since we got direct deposit). I'm not worried about there not being anything available because the CM said everything is WIDE open for late September :) . We may even make it a week later so that we can be there for the Food and Wine Festival - although I don't know about crowds during that time....
At least you're going.....

Disney plans are sorta taking a backseat right now while we sort things out with this pregnancy - so my PTR may take more of a baby planning turn for a bit but I promise to get back on track soon - hope no body minds :confused3
I'm feeling really great so far - no sickness - only naps, naps, and more naps - along with lots of peeing :rotfl: and pickle eating and chocolate milk drinking!!
We also are considering names already - here's what we really like:
Boy - Levi Alexander or Noah Michael
Girl - Ava Brooklyn or Isabella Grace

We are back from my 1st OB appointment :goodvibes
It went very well. They did blood work and an exam and all that good stuff. The doctor said everything appeared to be going really well, the only concern she had was that I'm measuring larger than what I should be. It isn't anything to be worried about, there's just a good possibility I'm further along than I think or we indeed are carrying multiples (runs in hubby's family). I have an ultrasound set up for May 27th. I'll be right at 9 weeks then :) She gave me an official due date of January 2, 2009 until I have my ultrasound which may change my date. We are so excited and can't wait for these two weeks to pass so we can hear our little one's heartbeat and get to catch our first glimpse of our little bean!!

Glad to hear that everything is going well. As for measuring further along, I did this with both of my girls, and with the second we had done fertility drugs so I knew the exact day that I conceived. My doc says some women are just that way. I belong to a great "mommy" board if you're interested.

That's comforting to know that sometimes measuring further along doesn't always indicate that you really are further along or are carrying multiples! I belong to two pregnancy/parenting boards right now - I don't know If I allowed to post websites, but I'll try. It's babyandbump.com and themommyplaybook.com - both are WONDERFUL!

We had our 2nd OB appointment today and our 1st ultrasound - it was magical - that's the best way I can describe it!! We have one beautiful baby measuring 8 weeks 5 days. His/her heart was beating at 169 beats per minute!! My due date remains January 2, 2009. This was the most wonderful thing I have ever experienced :goodvibes I was in tears, my mom was in tears, and even hubby teared up a little. It is such a miracle and I can't wait to watch our little one grow!

Sorry I haven't been on in FOREVER you guys.....
I had another prenatal appointment yesterday and it didn't go so great.
My urine is good - no sugar, no protein, nothing bad. I haven't gained any weight, I've actually lost 3 pounds since 10 days ago when I was at the doctor last. Last time I was seen they did a random glucose and it was not good. My OB had me check my sugar 6 times a day until my next appointment (2 weeks). My doctor didn't like my blood sugars from the past 2 weeks and my Hemoglobin A1C wasn't too great (that tests for overall sugar management). I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes - already - at 10 weeks pregnant. I am being referred to to an endocrinologist who specializes in GD. I also have to begin seeing my OB every 2-3 weeks rather than every 4-5 weeks. I can have no sugar now - none - and only 1 serving of "white" carbs like rice and bread daily. I also have to limit my fruit and fruit juice intake. My OB was talking about how if I didn't get this under control my baby could have serious problems, the placenta could have problems, and I could have problems. It's a pretty scary thing even though I know it can hopefully be controlled. I was just so shocked because normally this doesn't develop until late in pregnancy, not 10 weeks.
My sugar before meals should be 80-110 * mine has been anywhere from 52-186 in the last two weeks.
My sugar 2 hours after meals should be 100-140 * mine has been anywhere from the low 60's - 275.
Hopefully I can adjust quickly and keep me and baby healthy!!

I may go ahead and make this a SUPER early PTR for our trip in October 2009 - or would that be WAY too early?? I could kinda use it as a baby update until I was ready to officially begin my PTR for 2009.
