I am trying to cost out whether it is worth using the Disney Dining Plan or not.

Is tax included in the per day cost or is that additional (for example $37.99 * sales tax rate)?

If you pay out of pocket is tax added to the bill?

If on dining plan your tax is based on what you get but covered under dining plan. If paying out of pocket it is still calcuated the same way you just pay for all of it. Think I answer your question

They add sales tax to the bill as they must as mandated by state law..
Normally, I tip on meals before sales tax, so the gratuity is based on the cost of the actual meals ordered anyway..

Hope that helps.:goodvibes
