View Full Version : Directions from port to Downtown Disney

We are leaving Sunday and will be looking to visit Downtown Disney when we return on Thursday since our plane doesn't leave until 7:30p.m. Anyone who can give directions from the port to Downtown Disney? I'd also like to get a map and assume AVIS will have this when I get the rental car. Thanks for you help.

From Port Canaveral, take the Beeline West towards Orlando. I know this sounds overyly simple, but when you get close, just follow the signs to WDW and Downtown Disney. It's that easy. Should take you around an hour, depending on how fast you drive.

Avis should give you a map with your car but you can always print one out with specific directions from www.mapquest.com.

We're planning on doing the same as our plane doesnt leave until 6pm.

They are correct.

You will be getting off at like Exit 28 or 29 and the DD exit is
27. So just look for the signs, it is very well marked.

Remember to take the beeline to I-4 then exit 27. Also take plenty of change for the tolls, you know you are getting close to Orlando by the number of toll booths.

We live in the Melbourne area. While the Beeline to I4 drectins work, an easier way to go is take the Beeline to the first toll booth ($1.25).. Imediately after leaving the toll booth, take the first off ramp to the right and then go left over the beeline. This puts you on the Central Florida Greenway, which goes around the backside (south) of the airport directly to WDW exits. A much more relaxing and direct drive than the rest of the beeline and I4. You will pay 2 more tolls ($1.00 each) Right after the second toll, exit on 536 and go straight into Disney. Well marked. The first intersection inside WDW will take you right to Marketplace. The good thing about this route is you can reverse it back to the airport, about 15 minutes away. You will come into the airport from the South versus the normal more crowded north entrance off the Beeline.
