Has any of you rebook your trip because of new discount/promotion offered by Disney? How did you do it? Is it very complicated? I have booked a trip for October. I believe I might get more discount during the summer time when fall promotion is available. But I am not sure whether adjusting the rate would be complicated to do since I book the trip directly with WDW, not thru a travel agent. That's why I am ask for advise.
Thanks.:D :D

Just give them your confirmation number and tell them you want a price modification using new codes or discounts.
It is a no-brainer and they should do it easily. Depending on the change, you may be billed differently, however. For example, you may be charged a $100 deposit instead of $200, you may have to pay 45 days or two weeks before you arrive, or at check - in.

Sometimes they can't modify your reservation, so you have to make a new one & cancel the old. They may or may not be able to transfer your deposits.
Honestly, what a lot of people here do is call & make a new reservation without even mentioning the old one. This is because it can sometimes take several calls to get a good deal. You may call & be told you can't apply the new code or special to your existing reservation and then call back and be able to get the rate as a new reservation (so you'll have to cancel the orig).

It can be done, even if they cancel your old reservation and make a new one, it is not a biggie.
I have changed mine four times this year, twice keeping the same number. I only changed rates, the dates stayed the same. It is not impossible and you do not get penalized for it as long as you do it early enough. I would not want to have my name spread all over their computers with several reservations that I do not intend to keep, especially when so many guests are hoping to find room availabilities under specific rates.

AK4ever and Gillian,
Thanks a lot!! I am so happy that it is not as difficult as I thought. I will keep my fingers crossed.
Good luck on your upcoming trips.
