DW and I are coming to DLRP from the US June 28-July 2 and were wondering if any of the gift shops at the Disney resorts have local wine by the bottle for purchase? We note a lack of room service at most of the resorts per se, and would like to have a glass or two of wine to relax after a long day at the parks (we have no kids yet). Do the resort gift shops sell wine by the bottle? Also, how long do the gift shops stay open? We've run into an issue at the Animal Kingdom Lodge at WDW because the gift shop closed at 11pm. Thanks! :confused3

The only wine I've noticed for sale in the giftshops at the hotel and around the resort are the 15th Anniversary Celebration bottles available in red or white, but I like to end my day with a cocktail at one of the Village or the hotel bars, not really a wine drinker.
Notice you're staying at the NPBC there are 2 lovely bars for a relaxing drink at the end of the day, of the 2 you may prefer the Captain's Quarters more intimate than the Fishermans Wharf, it has comfy chairs and sofas and a fabulous view out over the lake. :)

I think the shops in the hotels tend to close about 11/12 at night. If you like there is a massive supermarket one stop on the train from Disney, where you will be able to find a huge selection of wine.

You may also be able to buy a bottle of wine from the bar. You are free to use the bars of other hotels too, which could make for a relaxing evening:goodvibes

We bought wine from the shop at the station at the entrance to the park.

There is a garage beside Santa Fe hotel. This shop stock beer, wine and most groceries :) Although we didn't stay there I would take the shuttle bus there most nights and pick up some refreshments :drinking1
Then head back to our hotel to relax in the evening :goodvibes

Am 99% sure that the Sequoia Lodge shop had both bottles of wine, water and beers in its fridge at the back of the shop.

Sounds good. We'll look for opportunities when we can.

Are there any restrictions for bringing wine to DLPR in your luggage via train? We'll be in the Reading UK area for business the week before.

Thank you!

You are fine bringing a few bottles between EU countries. If you get a good deal in a Reading supermarket it will be a lot cheaper than on site at DLRP I expect!
