How late can you leave a resort or park and still get safely to port for the cruise portion of a land & sea? I understand we (DH 36, DS 10, self) won't have to go through check-in at the ship because we'll have done so at the resort. We're driving a rental car, plan to visit MK in the morning (May 23), have PS's at the Plaza Restaurant for noon, and think we can leave the Poly by 1:30, latest. Our excursions are pre-booked and we're not concerned about spa or Palo ressies. I think that should give us plenty of time. I'd rather arrive after the cruise buses have cleared. Is 1:30 a safe time to head for the coast?
P.S. I'm feeling withdrawal! I've been planning this trip for 7 months with so much help from these boards, and now everything is done, and there's nothing left to do but wait!!

Provided there is no delay due to traffic you should be okay, it takes about an hour from the WDW property to get to the port. You need to be at the port no later than 4pm so if you leave at 1:30pm that gives you at least 2 and a half hours to get there.

We made the trip Sunday. Traffic was pretty bad on I-4 to the Beeline Express, sometimes coming to a stop. It took us about one hour and forty five minutes. Be sure to take change for the toll booths. We went through three and the total cost was $2.50. Don't bother stopping at the first desk inside the terminal. If you've taken care of your reservations at your resort just walk straight to the gangway to the ship and have your KTTW and photo ID. Hope you have as much fun as we did!!!
