If we book a free dining package now for the end of August how much of a deposit do we pay now? When is the rest of the money due? If we needed to cancel, up until when can we do so? Do you get your deposit back? Thanks!

You would pay a $200 deposit. The rest is due 45 days before arrival. If you cancel before 45 days you would get all your money back.

Its true. If you book your air through disney and its published air you have to pay for that up front as well as the trip insurance if you choose it.

If you book it with insurance & cancel within the 45 days you get all back but the insurance. Don't know about air never book air with my Disney trips :)

My package is for mid September and the final balance due is July 13.

im going aug 27-sept 3 for free dining. i have already cancelled and rebooked ( to get the free dining for visa card holders) and modified my ressie about a million times. i have paid in full, but if i hadnt my balance would have been due by july 13. up until july 13 anything i did would cost me nothing...after that is when fees start adding up

If you upgrade your ressie say to a deluxe resort( not sure which resort you are at now) But added more in turn Disney will be getting more money, you will not be zapped :-)
