We have come back today, and we and the kids agree one of our best days
was Aquatica. We bought our tickets on line direct from SEAWORLD.
You print them on your home printer, it includes a large barcode on
your print. When we got there a couple of weeks ago on a very warm day
the line to get in was huge. As we had ours printed went to the front of
line. they scanned bar code and we were in. It says on your printout that
photo id is needed , but they never asked for any.
We spent hours on the fast river, wearing the supplied rubber life veats
being taken around by the fast current. Tryng to get off at the exits can be fun, usually resulting in one of your party being swept around for another go.

Welcome home, ROMNEY and thanks for the tip. How busy did you find the park once you got inside?

You will be inundated with requests for information now:rotfl2: I know there is a place that you can pay for "Food and Drink" all day - did you notice if you could just buy a mug, like at TL or BB, and fill it up? Where did you sit? Was there enough shade around?

Thanks for any information (after all, I only have 12 months and 3 weeks to find out everything:lmao: )

Welcome back-hope you had a great time.
Did you purchase your tickets in dollars when you used your card?If yes how much did you get charged to change the money from dollars into pounds(hope you don't mind me asking this). As i have noticed it is cheaper to buy on the Seaworld website(in dollars)than from our own ticket brokers.Do you reckon you will be doing a trippie?.x.

We too enjoyed Aquatica, but it was busy, and they were closing it for further entrants most days by lunch time. The Cabana we hired was great to get away from the crowds for breaks. We used the new Flextickets to get in.

As we were there at Easter , yes it was very busy, and there were huge lines
on most attractions, but with 2 children, they just wanted to use the kids play area, the fast river and the wave pool.
We didn`t arrive till about 11, so all chairs were nearly taken, i don`t recall
many shady areas, but the only time we were out the water was to grab a snack, we took our own water and sandwiches, so i cannot comment on food
there, but the queues looked big.
For the fast river, you will need a rubber lifevest, these come in various colours, for various sizes. There are a number of places around the park
to get them, its just help yourself, if we couldn`t find the right size, we went
to the entrances/exits of the fast river, to find people leaving them there.

Regrets wished i had taken my camera, i had visions of the lockers being
in a remote part of the park and not having easy access to my camera.
it turned out that they are almost in the center,so i could have gone to them
easily.

Going at Easter, usually we go in october half term, take the children out of
school for a week extra, but this year my son will be doing his 11 plus(still have them in Guernsey ) so we decided to go at Easter, much much busier
than October, Big queues for buses at ASMO .Long waits for soarin/testtrack
no fast pass available. Personally i wouldn`t do Easter again.

Cost of lockers
small $8 large $10
thay had run out of large lockers ,so we had 2 small, you get a $3 voucher
back to spend there (bit of a swizz i thought )

I have scanned in the park guide, so if any wants me to e-mail it, let me know

My father-in law paid for the tickets online with his credit cardit, he hasn`t got the bill yet ,so we don`t know the sterling equiv.

Hi Dave,
If it's no trouble and you remember would you let me know the charge when it comes thru on the statement-i still think it would work out cheaper to get them from the Seaworld site in dollars.Thanks.x.

Hi Dave(sorry me again),
Would you say Aquatica would be good for me?Would there be stuff for me to do?Let me explain-----
I have a fear of the sea(mainly)+water - i do go in swimming pools but do not go underwater.I also don't go on water slides in case i 'go' underwater at the end.Is there anything for me there?Dh+dd7 will be fine-no problems.Other Dd who will be 4 when we go will probably stick with me majority of the time.Is it worth us going-dh+dd7 said they don't mind if we don't go.Thanks Dave.x.

snowy-girls, you sound like a clone of my wife, she hates getting her face
wet, being splashed. It was her who said she would like to go back, but we ran out of time.
She did the lazy river, paddled up to her waist in the wave pool, but spent
most of the day in the fast water rapids. With the rubber life vest,it gives
you so much buoncy that it is hard to get your head under.
I have never met someone as paranoid as her about being splashed, so if
she liked it, i am sure you will.

Just to reiterate what has already been said, you would be fine on the 'Rapid' lazy river with a life vest on. I did it without a vest of first, you know being all macho and stuff, then tried it with a vest on, it is so much better just letting the current pull you along while you bob around in a rubber life vest. The water is not so deep that you can't stand up in it, but you can't stand still because the current will pull you along. Also there are two waves pools of similar size but with different strength of waves, either would be fine if you stayed at the shallow end.

My experience of Aquatica is not as positve as the OP. We went twice and found the queues for the main slides to be far too long about an hour after the park had opened. We were there before opening at ten each day but still had to join a huge queue to get in. On the first day we couldn't find any sunbeds with shade so were forced to sit out in the open.

I queued again for ages after entry to get a locker and towels while my wife and kids had gone looking for sunbeds, and the queues for lockers seemed to be long all morning.

Also didn't like the fact that you are charged $10 for a locker and then when you return the key you are given a vocuher for $3 to be spent in the park, I mean at the point where you are returning your locker key you are presumably just about to leave the park.

Another downer for us was the fact that on our first visit there we left our towels and books and suncream and stuff on the 2 beds and 2 chairs we had 'commandeered' on entry and when we returned to them after half an hour on the lazy river we found that 3 out of the four had been 'removed' and all our belongings dumped on the one remaining bed.

Now in 17 years of visiting water parks in Florida I have never once had a sunbed 'stolen'. This was a result of there just not being enough beds to go round.

On both visits I also observed people frantically searching round the park with security guards for what appeared to be more serious thefts than sunbeds. I know you shouldn't leave valuables lying around in a water park, but again it is the first time I have seen this happen and it occurred on both visits.

The slides that I did go on were enjoyable and the Rapids are a hoot, but the queues and other problems described above mean that I will return to BB or Tyhoon Lagoon next time and not bother with Aquatica.

Have to agree - almost word for word - although we weren't aware of serious thefts. We had the very same thing happen with our sunbeds. I came back to find a group of teens had decided to take one of the two sunbeds that had our towels and belongings on. The girl concerned had even got my towel still on it! I confronted her (perhaps with hindsight not a good idea as I had come back on my own and she was with a gang of 6 or so). Got the bed back and the towel though! :thumbsup2
