How is the Luna Park pool? I happened to stumble on a picture of it. No one has ever seemed to talk about it on these boards. I am still looking for the perfect place to stay with POFQ being closed.
I wasn`t fond of Downtown Disney. Is the Boardwalk area like this? I really like a resort atmosphere. Also need a great pool slide and cheap french fries and hot dogs, mac and cheese.

babus1, I thought the Luna Park pool was awesome! The Keister Coaster slide was fun for all ages, the pool was clean and wonderfully themed. The lifeguards were very friendly to kids (learned their names) and adults. The pool bar was great! You can get salads, hot dogs and sandwhiches there as well as kids meals. We had a beer there everyday while our kids swam! It was a hopping place. We enjoyed the BW atmosphere, it was not as populated as DTD. The BW is very quiet during the day, it is like an extension of the resort. At night it is a lot of fun! The staff at BW was excellent. We hope to stay there on our next trip!

Luna Park is an awesome pool!!! probably the best other than SAB ofcourse!!! :)
You can't compare the BW to DownTown Disney at all! The BW is a fabulous resort! it is quiet all day long, in the evening there are jugglers, magic shows...etc... it's a lot of fun, but not at all the Downtown atmosphere. It is quaint and beautiful!
I love staying at the BW!!!

One nice thing about the BW pool is that you can easily see the slide area. We had a great time being in the water with our 3 1/2 year old twins while our older daughter was going down the slide. SAB is great but it is big and the slide is at one end and our twins wanted to be at the other end. At Luna Park we could keep an eye on our daughter easier!

We also love the night time activities at the BW!

No way is the BW area anything like DTD!!! It's beautiful... At night you can go for a leisurely walk around the lake & then take in a nightly performance on the Boardwalk... It is quiet all day long as others have said... If you've never stayed at an EPCOT resort, and you're up to it $$$ wise, you owe it to yourself to stay! Luna park is great fun for the kids, not too big, not too small... It's a definite must IMHO... course we're DVC'ers on the villa side & totally love it!

BW slide is fantastic.....The atmosphere of the hotel is also fantastic....Never been to DTD so I can't compare but I love BW so I wouldn't stay anywhere else for more than a night or two....The rest of my visit you will find me at BWV...

The Boardwalk resorts sound lovely and I'm seriously considering them for part of our Aug. trip. I have a very specific question-

Is the Luna Park slide appropriate for a timid 4 year old? We stay at the Poly and my 6 yr. old loves the slide but my son is frightened out of his wits on it and won't use it. I'd love to find a resort where they can both have fun. Thanks. Susan
