Question about plastic Membership Cards

We just got our plastic membership cards in the mail last week - but not exactly sure what they are used for... pool hopping, or something else? Our first trip home is coming up in a few months and DW asked me this question last night... I told her I don't know, but I'd find out. Thanks.

Pool hopping I guess, although we have never done that. We use it for any DVC discounts in restaurants.

Food/retail discounts, valet parking (at DVC resorts ...) you need to show it if you are buying discounted tickets in person.
You could also put on a lanyard and as you pass by people grab it and yell "BAM!"

I'm sure there are other things I can't think of.

As PP's have said, Pool Hopping if your are asked. Dining Discounts. Admission to Member only events like The Merry Member Mixer or DVC member previews of new attractions. Needed for Validation for Member pricing on AP's & Special Ticket Discounts like MNSSHP, MVMCP & P&PP when you pick up the tickets.

You can impress your friends by waving them around at them..LOL! ;)

They also contain all the information you need for calling to make a reservation. That comes in handy to have your number when you are calling and aren't at home.
