Question about DVC trip and Magical Express

I'm considering renting points for 5 nights (Sun-Thu) at AKV in January. I'd like to spend the first two nights of vacation (Fri-Sat) at a value resort to save $. I know Bell Services will transfer our luggage between the two resorts, but will it be difficult to book Magical Express given the two separate reservations?

Not at all. We did it last summer and everything worked out fine. Just let Magical Express know you are leaving from a different resort.

You would make a ME reservation one way from Airport to your 1st resort when you make that reservation. You would make a ME reservation for the one way return to the airport with the 2nd resort's reservation. They do this all the time. You need to supply both reservation numbers because the return to the airport needs to be on the date of checkout so it can't be booked with the 1st reservation #.

We are doing this in May. As the two resorts have two resevation numbers, we simply made two, seperate, ME requests. One seeking only transportation from the airport, the other seek only transportation two the airport.

I had called ME directly to do this via the phone, and they directed me to submit the requests via the DVC website.

In your instance, where you have a value and a DVC stayed mixed, I think you'd make the arrival reservation through whatever source you used for that reservation; and the departure reservation though DVC.

We've done this on more than one occasion, and it has never been a problem.
