The credits are nice, but if they shove ToonTown any further down our throats, I'm going to puke it back up again! :sad2:

Ehhh... again, can't we just fend off ALL OF TOONTOWN from taking over VMK, and not just the Cogs?

Seriously.

"Hey VMKers, here's more free credits that you can't use in 30 days. Have fun! And if you need tips on how to spend them - Haley and Jake might have some ideas for you."

Either something huge is coming and they feel really bad about us needing to spend credits for something we can only enjoy for a month or whoever runs the VMK Bank has already left town.

I just don't get it... Thanks for the credits, but if I turn them down, could we keep Funville?

maybe they're preparing everyone for an intense extravaganza on may 21st. Wouldn't it be awesome if on the last day of vmk they just re-release everything to give people a last shot to go down with their dream items?

Can't we have jelly bean furnishings instead? I mean, gosh! I've just done a quest for 52,000 credits...what do I need 3,000 more for? And just a couple weeks ago, a quest for 75,000. Hmm... There's nothing new to buy! I'd love the awesome rainbow of colors that those sweet little candies would provide, though...

I agree. I'll gladly give up all of my credits to keep VMK alive.

If they are feeling guilty then why not just give us back the game?! VMK is not the same ever since they have announced it's closing. I do not have the heart or inspiration to build any more so what could I possibly need all these credits for.

aliceblue
04-22-2008, 01:24 AM
They don't need a census...they have logs.True. But perhaps they want to test how many will log in on one particular day. (Rather than random log-ins throughout the week.)

Not that I can guess what purpose that would serve.

National Jelly Bean Day

When : Always April 22and

National Jelly Bean Day is a time to enjoy gobs and gobs of jelly beans. Anyone who loves jelly beans, knows they are not just for Easter. Sure, they are very popular at Easter. But, they are also enjoyed year round. The flavors are limited only by the imagination of candy makers. If you've never enjoyed the multitude of flavors in a box of gourmet jelly beans, the we suggest you head right out to the store and buy some.

Jelly beans date back to at least the 1860's. Advertisements promoted sending jelly beans to Union troops fighting in the Civil War. The original candy maker is unknown.

Do you know how to celebrate National Jelly Bean Day? We thought so!

I thought today was Earth Day :hippie:

I thought that too. And I am tired by their continuous efforts to promote Toon Town and using vmk to do so!

I mean, at this point, vmk is an ad for their next online game.

I'm disappointed.:sad2:

Well i'm thanking VMK for this!
I'm not too good at mini games, and ever since that blackheart quest I don't really want to play pirates anymore. With the quests with large credit prizes I'm finally able to create loads of quests, I'm already working on two!:goodvibes

OneLittleSpark
04-22-2008, 08:46 AM
Wow! Free money!! With all these new credits we're getting, it looks like I may be able to finish my pirate ride before closing, after all! :goodvibes Of course, I'm with all you guys in that I'd rather have the game not close, than the free credits, but I wouldn't object to both the credits and saving the game ;).

And I completely agree about the Toontown and Pirates promotions. I'm really getting sick of seeing it on every billboard, newsletter item and quest that they can shoehorn it into. The message is just so obviously: "we're getting rid of the free game that you all love, so why not give us loads of your money, to play a game that you're not all that interested in?". Sorry Disney, I love you dearly, but this is one big PR slip up! :sad2:

I really don't see why they give us so many credits knowing that VMK is going to close O_o I am personally not even really playing anymore. Playing VMK makes me realize that my money will never go again in any Disney products.

Maybe VMK is secretly giving us credit's little by little, so we can buy Flying Carpet Magic when it comes out. They put 52K credits in a quest, that wasn't so hard. I doubt Carpet Magic would be 10K so maybe it's 50K. Then the 2K was to throw us off? Plus, they are giving us another 3K for free! Just in case some of us spent some of our credits! :teacher:

The thing I find funniest about these "Free Jellybean credits" it that Toon town is doing nothing special today!! LOL
Jellybeans mean EVERYTHING in toon town, without them you can't buy gags to fight the cogs! And they are not doing anything special.
