New to cuttlebug...

and trying to take the easy way out. Is there anything I need to know that is not in the instruction book?

Can I use the cuttlekids dies in the cuttlebug?

Is there a type of paper that works better than others, or a paper that doesn't work well at all?

Right now I have 3 embossing folders and the flower set for the cuttlekid. I hope someone (kids, DH) will pick up some more for Mother's Day;)

i'm pretty sure you can use the cuttlekids in the cuttlebug machine but not the cuttlebug dies in the cuttlekids machine. - hope i got that right!!!

i just love the embossing dies. they seem to work very well for me, no matter what the paper.

do you have a michael's near you? because mine has most of the cuttlekids on clearance. if not, let me know and i'll check mine for you!

Yes, I was just at Michael's today and I didn't see any on clearance. They were 30% off today. Was there a dinosaur set? I want to find that one.

yes you can use cuttlekids in the cuttlebug machine, you can't use the regular cuttlebug dies in the cuttlekid machine. maggie

I just bought the cuttle bug this week too. I had a 55% off coupon for ACM and gift cards so it cost me $15 out of pocket. I was prettty happy. I kept saying I didn't need one I have both Cricuts but I couldn't pass up a deal.
I was saving my gift cards for Pooh carts but I didn't, I hope I don't regret it.

I'm thinking you can use the regular sizzix dies in the cuttlebug. you can also use sizzlets, quickutz in the cuttlebug. maggie

(the only thing so far that I haven't been able to get to work is the elison dies that the school has, but they are really thick)
