I just need to whine a little.

I'm 14. 15 in May.
I NEED A HEARING AID!!!

Gosh darn chemo effected my hearing. I've lost 30-40% of my hearing from the chemo alone! :scared1:
I don't want one, but the doctor said it's what's best for me.
SOOOOOO frustrating!

Aww it'll be ok! I have TWO hearing aids. And I've had them since I was two years old. I'm now 14. I've gotten really used to them, and you'll get used to yours after awhile. It's not that bad, really! I was born with mild-moderate loss in my right ear, and moderate-severe in my left.

It's not that bad. Your friends will understand, trust me. My friends never really questioned me about mine. Little kids may ask sometimes (which gets annoying after explaining for the 10,000 time) but it's cool.

Feel free to PM me whenever, or if you need some advice. Happy to listen/talk!

I'm sorry. That must be really hard and I can't imagine what you are going through.

If you ever feel old (physically), you are not the only teen to feel that way. I feel way older in my body than I am. It's kinda sad!!!

I CAN'T imagine what your going through.
Your life must be really tough:hug::huug:
Ill pray for you:)

And about the hearing aid thing, my sister had to get one when she was 3 because she was in a car accident and it damaged her hearing for some reason. She has had it to this very day.

Good luck!

Awww, I'm sorry. :( But aren't there kinds that aren't visible?

Yes, actually. There are ones that are really small, so you can't even tell that the person is wearing them. That's the kind my grandfather has. No one will really notice them, unless they're really close to you.

Don't fret about this, it's nothing, really.
