AKV Value Studio Success

I'm so excited. I called Saturday and reserved a Value studio at AKV 9/1 - 9/4. I am surprised that the value was still available at under 7 months. I stayed in a standard studio last September and enjoyed that very much. Looking forward to it!

Being BWV owners used to staying in point-saving standard studios, I would probably try to reserve the value rooms as well. But like you, would expect them not to be available by the 7-month window. Maybe the Free Dining has caused some members to cancel value room reservations?

There are somewhere between 8 and 18 Value studios:

8 dedicated studios (4 savanna view, 4 pool view)
10 2BR lockoffs (4 savanna view, 4 pool view, 2 parking lot view) some of which will be "locked off" and rented as a 1 BR and studio

I've waitlisted to switch out a value studio @ AKV for OKW or a standard BWV unit (both cost the same # of points). We've got a long trip in June that starts out with a 2 bedroom Savanna View at AKV, then a OVIR at VB, and ends with 3 nights in a value studio at AKV.

After staying in a value studio with just my kids - I now think ending the trip in the teeny room with DH along is a bad idea. So - hopefully the waitlist will come through and I'll make someone REALLY happy getting a AKV value for June! Too bad the system does not have the ability to just swap reservations.
