Goal: Eat healthily to allow for Friday's splurge on Scott's birthday.

Food diary:
Mon - cereal bar and juice. Cheese & beef roll with salad and juice, single piece of choc.

Homemade pizza, would have raked up cals but I barely ate any as it was VILE! At least the garlic baguette was tasty and that was low fat/low cal stuff. This evening I've been bad and some biscuits and choc to celebrate my university exams finishing for the YEAR!

I did the 20 minutes of upper body. I just finished my 3 miles - just about an hour. :woohoo: But I only did those weird things for the first mile. Man, I musta looked like a dork. I did it though. Figured this time of the day there are less people out to see and no children to make fun of my children.

I hurt. :sad1: Hope I get in shape soon.

Have any of you tried the FUZE slenderize drinks? No HFCS and lots of added good stuff. Low carb, 10 calories per bottle. A little bit of an after taste, but not as bad as Crystal Light to me.

Off to go get little bit at the end of the driveway. I think Mommy is going to be dragging behind today. :rotfl2:

I was bad. I had a small Blizzard for dinner. 720 calories I did NOT need. I walked an extra mile and half just now, that gives me 4 1/2 miles today. Hope that helps some. :sad2: Bad me. But boy was it GOOD! :rotfl2:

LOL!
I wanted a Blizzard but DQ was packed.. always is since it's a small one w/ 2 windows only and the line was all the way to the road.. So, I drove on by...

won't have time the rest of the week..but it's going to be nice.. so hopefully I can get a mile in tomorrow outside walking..
I will only do the toning exercises in the house. I embarrass to easily!!

I haven't had time to update, but I'm still following my plan, and doing well which is probably because I've been sick and don't care about snacking. Plus, right now there are no snacks in the house!

I don't have time to write up my food diary every day, but I'm keeping to my plan of a mini-bagel or cereal with yogurt for breakfast, lean proteins and fruit or veggies for lunch, and lean protein and veggies for dinner. Lots of water.

Haven't felt up to exercising, but I've lost 4 pounds in the past 10 days.

AWM, I would have never dreamed that a small Blizzard had that many calories. Yikes!

If I would have known ahead of time, I wouldn't have done it.

Good job with the four pounds without exercising!

My body is against me. I have felt this ravenous need to eat all day. I wonder if it is the HFCS that was in the Blizzard?

Hi Nancy!! :flower3:

Rehearsals are going very well, except that with 140 people close together during rehearsals, it's easy to transmit and catch something. I will not subject anyone to my germs tomorrow at rehearsal. If I feel a lot better, I will go and watch, but not sing. We have our regional convention the weekend after this where we will be evaluated by judges to see how we're doing getting ready for International. Other than that, we're hostessing the regional convention / competition.

Glad to hear the rehearsals are going well... The kids were laughing at me the other day because I was listening to your Christmas CD... :)

I agree w/ not singing and passing germs around w/ regional competition coming up!!! I'm sure you all will do well!!!

It's in the plans to do another CD early next year, I think (not holiday music). We've got 4 or 5 other previous ones, too.

We go to Chic-fil-a, always, on allergy run day. I usually get the sandwich & sweet tea. This time I'm a good girl. I order the chargrilled chicken. Just the chicken. 100 calories of yummy, seasoned, basted, chicken. And water. Eldest gets the original sandwich, pickles, lettuce & tomato. Get the little bit his 4-piece chicken nugget meal. He starts to eat a nugget. He sees my chicken. :confused3 Did you know boys can whine? A lot. "Mmmm Mommy, that looks good. I don't like breading (since when?). Can I have yours. Please Mommy, please, please please?" Uhm, I got to lick my fingers. The seasoning was good. I got stuck with 3 breaded chicken nuggets - 90 calories - and I'm still starving! Going to make that salad I already dinged myself for. Oh, and those small waffle fries - 270 calories. Don't think I'll be eating any of those anytime soon. They have to have ketchup & mayo mixed to be good.

I did NOT have a good food day yesterday. I can't even begin to count the extra calories....BUT, today is a new day and I am 100% committed to staying on plan. I did a half hour of the Biggest Loser power sculpt video and ran 4 miles. I'll get at least a half hour of yard work in later.

So far I've had a banana and a bowl of lettuce:). I'll post my food plan when I figure it out.

I think we need cut ourselves a little slack here. Looks like we both had bad food days. Make sure you don't try to "punish" yourself by not getting enough calories/points today. Your health will not thank you.

It's hotter than blazes outside right now. Think I'll be waiting until this evening to walk. I only did two miles yesterday as that 4 1/2 mile day hurt me bad. My legs are still achy from it. I'll try to do the dvd today to loosen up some.

need to remember to post when I get back.
Pleased with myself yesterday, I had not one snack!!! That is a first for me in a very long time.

I did the Biggest Loser cardio video yesterday, Levels 1 and 2. OMG, that kicked my butt big time! I have been a runner since 2005 and thought I had pretty good endurance, but man......I can feel that workout in my muscles today! Today I'm going to run and do the power sculpt video.

I'm struggling with food still. I think I'm being too hard on myself so I am changing my goal. Instead of a particular number, I just want my summer clothes to fit comfortably. I'm almost 44, I've had two c-sections, and I've kept 50 pounds off for 3 1/2 years.....I don't need to be Twiggy to be happy.

That's my new plan and I'm sticking to it:).

I like your new plan.
I feel like I've been obsessing over my food these past few weeks. I certainly don't want to live the rest of my life like that. So, no more calorie counting. I don't plan on eating junk food instead, but I'm not to fret about the pretzel snacks I've been having.
I will however need to step up my exercising. If I can get myself to do it for the 30 days it takes to instill a habit, I think it is something I can continue to always do.
They just disced the field last night and it rained after that, so no walking my property today. I'm just going to have brave the road today. My legs are feeling pretty good, so I don't think I'll hurt my shin splints walking on the pavement occasionally. Need to take my pedometer to see how far I need to go to do one mile.

The people who rent our land to farm on are so sweet. They left me a 16 inch path around the property to walk on. They disced up part that they usually leave alone and flattened it out for me. I just need to pat down the dirt, which will happen the more I walk on it.

I did two miles on the road this morning, my mile up and down the driveway and another mile around the property. :woohoo: 4 miles today and it doesn't hurt, yet. ;)

well that was sweet. I wish I could walk the field behind my house but the ticks are awful! And the neighbors hay it so the grass gets really tall too.

AlexWyattMommy
04-25-2008, 09:52 PM
Pony tail, hat, long sleeves & pants. It gets a little hot, but it helps find the ticks.

You all started talking about ticks.. and this is the first thing that popped into my head...
Brad Paisleys song...

check you for ticks :faint:

AlexWyattMommy
04-26-2008, 09:58 PM
That song cracks me up.

It was a slow day today. Only a mile and half of walking. We went shopping and I had to clean house. The shopping was fun, the cleaning, not so much.

I'm so glad my main man doesn't get into that stuff, so the boys won't either.
