Paid off the trip and am only 55 days from leaving!! :yay: :yay: Every week, I am buying something new for our trip! I need to have a garage sale so that I can get some more spending money!! After reading about the pick-a-pearl in Epcot, I have decided that will be my souvenir! :)

Our Disney portion of the trip is paid for, including money put away for tips on dining plan and souvenir money. DH got his first check for umpping baseball games so far this year and that check pays for 1/2 our car rental. If the weather cooperates, he should have money for rest of the car rental as well as our room and meals in Daytona for four days in the next month or so. I've never done "pick a pearl" and plan to do that this year too.

That's so funny because that was the weekend that I was contemplating having one as well!:rotfl: If I could make at least $50 I would be a happy camper. DH on the other hand would be delighted just getting rid of stuff!

Thanks! Like I said, anything that I make is just extra money for WDW!! My DH says why bother sitting outside in the hot sun when you can just pile it at the curb. After three hours, I am almost agreeing with him but in the end I am happy that I did it.

FYI - two years ago I left my girls do "pick a pearl". I labeled the little bags they give you with each of their names. Before xmas this year I took the pearls to a local jeweler and for $30 each he put them on "add a pearl" gold chains. This way we can add pearls to them - from WDW or elsewhere. It was a neat present for them and the girls 8, 16 & 18 had forgotten all about them.

What a terrific idea! I would have never though of it myself. My plan is to let the girls do the "pick your pearl" while DS gets to make a light saber. I am so glad that they have the light saber thing for boys. After I told him about it, he was so excited!

And just in time!! We just got our stimulus check in. I have to say, it was a nice little bonus and the government can rest assure that I will be helping the Floriday economy with my check in June! :lmao:

I was so excited when I found out that I was going to Disney World that I also looked for pre trip souvenirs to offset their cost and I found the cutest thing!! There is a company that makes personalized Disney Mickey CDs and Princess CDs. I bought the Mickey Mouse CD and by the time my 4 year old got to Disney World, she knew the words to a lot of the songs they play in the park. The coolest thing is that her name is in the song! I will probably buy the Princess version in the near future. The website is:

Meeee toooo... I got that nice check from Mr Bush and all is paid. Now just need to get the things ready and save for spending... It does feel great to have everything paid. Now I just can't wait. I have 45 days left... But first I have a wedding June 14th, then my vacation June 19th starts. Talk about scheduling two major events close to each other huh!!! So congrats to all who are paid, and hang in there and keep going to those who still need some. You'll get there... See ya!!!

Thank you! I can honestly say that I have never been so excited about spending a ton of money as I was when I paid off our trip! Usually I am thinking about all of the money and what we could with it instead. Oh, and then I see those horrible commercials of the children who live in poverty and the one with the animals who need money to help them. :sad2: I suppose that I do feel a little guilty, but I figured that we only have one life and taking your whole family on a trip and making memories that will last a lifetime is worth it!:thumbsup2
