Somehow she is radiating out all her pregnancy symptoms to her friends and family. Anyone who walks into her house right now starts experiencing something pregnancy related as I discovered on Tuesday when I went to stay and found myself lay on her couch fighting waves of nausea - never even had that before!

Her due date is tomorrow and right now I am experiencing what can only be described as mild contraction pains!! :lmao: Kinda like a branston hicks thing where all the muscles tighten up but in a regular pattern. The sooner this kid comes out the better for all of us, even her 6yr old daughter is waking up with morning sickness!

Hoping for a safe delivery.

And hoping that things return to almost normal soon. With a new baby, nothing is completely normal again. :rotfl2:

No kidding. Kids have a way with changing things around.

Keep us posted, Queenie. I should have realized when you said your sister said the f word, it was late pregnancy related. That was one of the two nasties I said during my delivery. The other was directed to the woman who came in at 3:15 am and had her baby at 5:10 am, while I was at it for 24 hours.:scared1: The hospital felt it best that I not be roomed with her.:rotfl2:

I can imagine!

Still nothing I'm afraid - we're now 8 days past due date. Inducement date set for this Sunday, May 4th.

Hugs and prayers to the whole family. I hope that baby arrives soon!!

Just updating that there is still no news at 10 days overdue! She is starting to experience nasty stomach pains but they are occasional and random, no pattern as with contractions. She also had a show on Monday night but puts this down more to the stretch and sweep she'd had a few hours earlier, rather than the baby itself doing anything.

She's fed up, bored and sore lol! At least today she has her 6yr old with her as school is out for elections (daughter's school is used as a polling station.) Hopefully that will keep her a bit more occupied.

OK, we are still in a no-baby situation BUT Wendy is now in serious pain with contractions, enough so that she is booked in for an epidural tomorrow. She is 1.5cm dialated, but considering she was 1cm on Thursday... well let's just say she's a little bit peeved off right now.

She cannot sleep due to contractions and other things but they are still not regular and not getting any closer together, every few hours or so, as they've been since late on Monday. I think she's had 5hrs sleep since Wednesday - not what you need in the run up to a newborn!

She calls the hospital at 5pm tomorrow to find out when she has to come in to be induced. If you can all keep her in your thoughts, this is a BAD labour in anyone's books. :)

Wendy went to hospital at around 9.30am this morning, mum is on her way up to look after the 6yr old (neighbours have her this morning.) Very impatiently waiting for news and not wanting to go for a shower in case the phone rings!!!

Born at 7.30pm this evening, Lily Amelia! Mother and baby doing well, not got a birth weight or anything yet - just had a 2 minute conversation with mum who had a 2 minute conversation with BIL.

Very happy as this means I can continue buying pretty things for at least a little while longer. I am now an official auntie to two, unofficial to a third.

Well, I met her today and she is just so cute! Slept most of the time I was there but did wake up for half an hour or so to have her dinner and then projectile vomit all over the living room! That's the third large-scale projectile vomit in 2 days so a little concern there with her only being 48hrs old but midwife is keeping in touch and assuring all is well.

6yr old big sis is less than impressed. We all think she was expecting something more akin to a doll: cute small thing that can be dressed up in pretty things. Not this red, wrinkly, noisy, smelly thing that produces icky stuff from both ends at all hours of the day! I have never seen a child look more disgusted than when Lily produced a lovely chocolate mousse style nappy and she walked in on her being changed!!!

The trip has been a nightmare though - total of 7.5 hours travelling to see her for 3.5hrs thanks to a signalling problem on the train line. Of course it was totally worth it!

she's gorgeous Auntie Queenie!!!

How bad was the projection? Is it every time she eats? What does the baby doctor say?

Queenie

She got a good 4ft trajectory, missed my leg by 3 inches! It's because sis is in so much pain breastfeeding she's having to occasionally give formula and the mix doesn't work so good for her tummy. They got a breast pump this evening so gonna give that a try for a few days, if it doesn't work then it's formula from then on.
