Hi,

Have any of you used Airmiles to rent a car at MCO? I was thinking of doing this as I have quite a few Airmiles saved up but the excess on the insurance is not included - if i'm reading it correctly - and I was wondering if anyone had to pay this at MCO and how much it was. Was it still a good deal using the Airmiles even with having to pay this?

Thanks :goodvibes

We've not used Airmiles car hire at MCO, but did at Tampa last October. They tend to use Avis and we had very good service from them.

As regards the excess, we didn't have anything more to pay. I had expected to pay extra for me as an additional driver since the insurance didn't seem to cover this, but their agent told me that a spouse is automatically covered:thumbsup2

The online part of airmiles site books through AVis. They have a sort of goldish insurance that covers pretty much everything. If you are still a bit unsure, you can phone airmiles up and get them to book with anyone you like. Last year I did this and booked with alamo. It was slightly cheaper than the online AVIS price and came with the alamo platinum insurance. All in all, airmiles is a good way to go.

Thank you both so much, will definitely be booking with Airmiles, that's another £300 saved, woo hoo! :cool1:
