OT--House cleaner in the GTA suggestions?

Here's the situation -- DH is a slob. Really, it can be shameful at times. He was in a car accident as a teen, and I think it damaged the 'squalor is bad' part of his brain. He's a freakin Tazmanian devil. He also works super long hours, and doesn't feel like using his beloved recovery time to take out the garbage. Fair enough, I suppose.

I, though a neat-freak at heart, am truly the world's worst housekeeper. I HATE mess but am completely impotent when it comes to maintaining a respectable home. No, really. I blame my mother. She called the oven the electric cupboard.

So, when the place is clean, I can handle keeping it tidy for a little while. I can handle dishes, laundry, etc. I just desperately need someone who can come by every week or so, and do the actual intense cleaning. Vaccuum, kitchen floors, bathrooms, dusting... that sorta thing. My first instinct was to call Molly Maid or something like that, but I've now heard that they might not be the best way to go.

Any suggestions, anyone?

I own a cleaning service. I suggest going with a cleaning lady that does it privately. They pay more attention to detail and arent a rush to get out of house. Make sure you check their references.. A good cleaner will give you lots of clients to call.. .
Ask a friend or neighbor for someone or check the internet want ads.

I'm also in the gta(durham region) I have used both private and cleaning service. private is way cheaper and they stay till the work is done, they tend not to rush. Unfortuanlty I haven't been able to find a private person that I want to stay with so I've mostly gone with cleaning service. Its expensive but I don't do it very often, just when I can't stand it anymore or if I have company coming and I don't have time to do a good cleaning.

If you find someone you trust keep them!

I don't know anyone but if you can go private I would recommend you go that route.
