Questions About The Holiday Inn Express Buffalo Airport

Hi Gang

I just booked The HIE on Buell Ave for our June trip for $179 including the park and fly option. I have a few questions that I'm hoping you can help with.

1. Has anyone stayed at this Holiday Inn Express and what was your opinion of the hotel?

2. What is the difference between the Holiday Inn Express airport hotel and the Holiday Inn airport hotel? They are very close together.

3. What is the security like at this hotel? Will we have to worry about someone vandalizing or breaking into our minivan while we're on our trip?

Have stayed at the HIE 3 times in the last 2 years and will again this July. Staff is friendly, shuttle is quick and the hotel is fairly new so it is in good shape. We've left the car there 3 times and never had a problem (left our car at home one Christmas while we went to WDW and it was broken into right outside our place). The main difference between the two hotels is that the Holiday Inn has a restaurant and the HIE does not (although it includes an excellent breakfast bar which is included in the room price).

We have stayed atthe HIE before our flights 3 times now and have used the park and fly option. The rooms are small but are well maintained and the DD's love the pool. We have never had a problem leaving the car and the shuttle to and from the airport has always been quick and courteous. The free breakfast in the morning has quite a good selection and starts nice and early.
